25.01.2022 No matter how old you are Dad hugs are the best arent they? What I wouldnt give to be giving my Dad a hug today. We were meant to meet up with my parents on the Sunshine Coast this week. Instead its another week of virtual hugs on Skype (I know I know - were soooo old fashioned not being on Zoom!!) While its not our time at the moment it is for another beautiful Andrews family I was fortunate to meet between Lockdowns. Enjoy those hugs Thomas and Liam

25.01.2022 .....and Im back! With Victorias coronavirus restrictions easing earlier this week, I was thrilled to be able to get a pregnant Mumma back in front of my camera again today. Melbourne turned on a perfect Autumn day for stunning Simy and her mini-me Esmes maternity session.

19.01.2022 Start flexing those muscles and perfecting your pouts....newborn sessions are back from June 1st! Strict safety and hygiene procedures will be in place for all sessions. I will be limiting newborn sessions to one per day to allow a complete sanitisation and cleaning between sessions to keep everyone as healthy and safe as possible. Big thank you to all my clients who have been waiting so patiently to come in for your newborn sessions, cant wait to meet your little ones over the next couple of weeks or as soon as you feel comfortable venturing out with your precious cargo!

17.01.2022 My first newborn session of 2020 was also the first outing as a whole family for Remi, Stella and Sho. Born 13 days ago in the height of this horrific fire season which is ravaging the country, the smoke-filled days have meant life has thus far been rather restricted for one so little. The impact of these fires is not simply restricted to the areas they are burning - they are literally changing the way we are ALL living.... My heart goes out to all those affected who are living with the heartbreaking loss of lives, livelihood, land and way of life. My heart is full by the response from all those on the frontlines selflessly fighting the fires, volunteering, caring for the wildlife, donating and offering support in any way they can. My heart is heavy as I watch as the politicians fail to act on climate change....

So if you have a grocery store worker, nurse, doctor, truck driver, bus driver, paramedic, emergency childcare provider, pharmacist, polic...e officer or other essential worker (I know Ive missed many) you want to thank for working so we could stay home and feel able to invest in a baby/family photo shoot at this time, please do. 15.01.2022 Babies aint ones to stick to anyones schedule when making their big arrival - so yesterday before Melbournes 6 week lockdown began, I photographed a few last minute maternity sessions. Due in 5 weeks Shami was booked for her maternity photography session this coming Saturday, Im so grateful she was able and willing to come in yesterday instead. It was an honour and so much fun to capture memories of your pregnancy for you and Greg, you were a dream to photograph.... I cant wait to meet your little one at the end of lockdown. P x

12.01.2022 I've used the Lockdown to refresh my studio - aka shop online way too often - new backdrops, new blankets, new wraps, new studio samples and enough disinfectant, hand sanitiser and masks to keep the 'rona at bay!

While indoor newborn and maternity shoots can not resume until November 2nd I'm so excited to be able to get back behind the camera and start photographing your growing families again!... Those who have been patiently waiting for the past 102 days for their newborn sessions emails have landed in your inboxes this morning, I can't wait to meet your new bubbas in a couple of weeks Thank you Melbourne, we're so close it's been so hard but together we've done it

12.01.2022 THEN + NOW Remi at just 13 days old was my first newborn of 2020, and it was his first outing due to the smoke-filled days of that terrible fire season we had. At the time I wrote about how they were changing the way we were all living.....little did I know that he and all of us were destined to spend so much of his first year inside, isolating. Was so lovely to have him come back to see me today, two weeks before his first birthday, to show GOOD things have happened in 2020!!

10.01.2022 Oh man what a day! Im not going to lie, there have been tears of sadness and frustration at having to close my studio again for the next 6 weeks. Tears of happiness from some of the lovely clients who Ive managed to reschedule to tonight & tomorrow to ensure they are able to get the pregnancy memories they so want. This is the beautiful Zoe, who was the last newborn bubba I photographed before Melbournes first lockdown back in March. A reminder of what is really import...ant at this time, our most vulnerable - new and old. For them stay home, stay safe, look out for your neighbours and support your local businesses. Im so looking forward to meeting those bubs who arrive over the next 6 weeks as soon as I am once again able to reopen my doors.

04.01.2022 Two months old. For two months we waited patiently for restrictions to be lifted to do Liams newborn session. Yesterday I got to meet Liam Andrews, and he is simply perfect! My heart goes out to his Canadian Grandparents patiently waiting for the borders to open so they can snuggle their newest Grandson. ... When they do, those snuggles will be the very best kind of snuggles.

Sending big air hugs to those Mums and Dads who are having to wait to introduce their newborns to older brothers and sisters, grandmothers and grandfathers, aunties and uncles - its not ideal but so necessary.... THANK YOU to the healthcare workers working tirelessly to treat those with COVID-19, and testing those who may have COVID-19. You are our heros. THANK YOU to the scientists working around the clock for a cure and vaccine. You are our heros. F-YOU to those who cant even be bothered self-isolating and Scotty from Marketing. Of course!
