13.01.2022 Creating New life deserves all the consciousness it can get! How much conscious preparation do we do? There seems to be little understanding of pre-conception preparation in our culture.... Little awareness of how much the whole life of the soon to be conceived child, is dependent on the vitality and consciousness of the pre-conceptive parents. In fact, whether a woman has a healthy or unhealthy pregnancy is left totally to chance in our society. This is a perhaps a deficiency in the western medical model. The current medical approach to the creation of new life seems to be, wait until it happens, and then monitor clinically, with safe and fault finding eyes, so as to protect mum and baby as much as possible. Despite the increasing skills and technology available to western medicine, it still leaves them playing catch up. The growing of new life in all forms benefits from careful observation, contemplation, decisive action, and right timing, In nature, Spring is born from Winter, in the Human body, the Winter represents ones core, constitutional strength, it is the core strength of both parents that IS the environment in which the child grows. If the constitution is weak at conception, pregnancy is likely to be difficult, labour difficult, post-partum difficult, relationships difficult. (this is what I mean by 'always playing catch up') and the child's constitutional strength will be weaker. If we are to keep humanity vital and strong, so that all future generations will flourish, care and attention to other wisdom's, such as Chinese medicine, who know how to optimally prepare mother and father to create a child, must be considered as a healthy direction for women to take in gaining pre-conception support; to engender, strong, balanced and vital pregnancies; and of course, give children the best possible start.
