21.01.2022 Meet Mrs.Jan Dimmick - a woman of great substance. I have had the pleasure of being a good friend of hers for many years. Throughout that time she has always impressed me with her deep commitment toward the welfare of her community in Boroondara. Her selfless devotion to her community work has touched the lives of so many people in our wonderful community. If I had to describe Jan in one word, the word indomitable would best describe her. She has drive and enthusiasm of unparalleled proportion. When most people at her stage of life are taking it easy, Jan is out and about doing good deeds. She is a woman of great magnificence who has been a wonderful friend and mentor. Boroondara is privileged to have such a wonderful personality.
09.01.2022 I look forward to working with Councillors bordering Stonnington along Gardiners Creek. Council permitting, establishing a Boroondara Gardiners Creek Masterplan Committee comprising Councillors and community representatives and delivering a fantastic outcome for the Boroondara Community. 05.01.2022 The State Government announced in 2017 the redevelopment of the Bills St Public Housing Project however hasnt engaged in sufficient community consultation with the residents of Riversdale Ward. The residents nor Council have a clear indication of what is proposed in the final draft plan for this redevelopment. I will act in the interest of all residents to ensure the final plan is acceptable to the community as it has long term implications not only for the local residents but prospective tennants of the estate. I will work diligently with the members of The Hawthorn Residents Action Group ( Mr John Mills -President ) the community, and its members to ensure an outcome that is suitable to all members of Riversdale Ward.
