24.01.2022 Australia’s very solid progress in containing COVID-19, together with the Morrison Government’s Location Incentive scheme, are creating a boom in high-profile overseas screen projects coming to our shores for production. Don’t take it from me - take it from Dwayne The Rock Johnson:

21.01.2022 NBN Australia has announced 240 Business Fibre Zones across Australia, but the Labor Member for Macquarie Susan Templeman MP seems not to realise that there are two in her electorate: one in the Blue Mountains and one in Richmond. Businesses in Business Fibre Zones can order a business grade optical fibre broadband service at a speed of up to 1 gigabit per second, with no upfront build cost, and at the cheapest available wholesale price (previously restricted to the CBDs of our capital cities). 14.01.2022 Millions of Australians have been stuck at home during #COVID19, relying on support from Australia Post to deliver essentials like pharmaceuticals. This has been in the face of many challenges including major disruptions to air freight and processing facilities. The Morrison Government has supported Australia Post through temporary regulatory changes, as I outlined to the Parliament.... A huge thank you to all the Aus Post staff who have worked so hard over the course of the #COVID19 pandemic to keep our mail and parcels moving.

11.01.2022 Great to catch up with Michelle from @Little Blue Dinosaur, which does fantastic work advocating for child pedestrian safety. We chatted about the upcoming release of Tom’s Holiday, a story about the importance of looking out for kids on the roads. Tom’s Holiday is out this week, in time for National Road Safety Week an important reminder as we approach the holiday period. I encourage parents to pick up a copy to include on your children’s bookshelves. Visit littlebluedinosaur.org to learn more.

09.01.2022 For many students in Years 5 and 6, the Canberra trip is a highlight of their studies in civics and citizenship. Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible for some schools to visit Canberra this year. To make up for this missed opportunity, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Hon. Tony Smith MP, travelled to Bradfield to join me in speaking with Year 6 at Knox Grammar Prep School and Year 5 and 6 at Lindfield East Public School. It was great to answer questions from students about Australia’s parliament, and my responsibilities as the Minister for Communications, Cyber Safety and the Arts.

05.01.2022 Today is Headspace Day marking the important youth mental health services provided by this Australian government backed organisation. The mental health of Australia’s young people is very important. This year of course has presented particular challenges. In Bradfield alone, more than 7,200 young people have experienced issues with their mental health in the past year. Today, I say to young people: life brings stress and challenges. You might be a year 12 student facing ...HSC exams. Or there may be other factors affecting your state of mind. But you can do things to relieve stress and feel better - through exercise or going out for a walk or taking the time to do something you enjoy or just taking some deep breaths in and out. If you need help, go to headspace their face-to-face, online and telephone services are there to help you. headspace.org.au/

04.01.2022 The internet is a place of immense possibility, but also of risk. This Government believes all Australians have a right to be safe online, which is why we established the Office of the eSafety Commissioner in 2015. It was a world first and there’s more to come.

02.01.2022 Speaking to travel agents from the Bradfield electorate to hear first hand about the impact of COVID-19 on the travel and tourism industry.
