18.01.2022 ‘While wandering around Brooklyn on a weekend just before Halloween in 2013 I came across a softball game between Bad Intentionz and the Indians. it was a good natured game with plenty of banter. Very Australian I thought. This image is one from the series I made that day. I tried a number of times to get in touch with the teams to send them some pics. I didn‘t have any success, unfortunately.... Covid and de- trumping permitting I hope to go back sometime.’

15.01.2022 Liquid Light #9527 Sometimes I dream a picture and then work out the technicalities of making it. I often don't match the vision, but sometimes I am surprised by what happens when I let light bounce around in my camera. The sandstone outcrops that form the island, dividing the sandy bay at Balmoral Beach in Sydney, Australia, are familiar to my cameras. My dream, however, required a more intimate conversation with this well-trod place. So, in the dawn light, I suspended my ...camera by its strap as I walked carefully across the rock shelf, dodging the deeper holes and slippery seaweed. The camera floated just above the small waves washing around my feet as the slow shutter speed and morning glow combined to 'melt' water, stone and seagrasses into a series of flowing, surreal sculptures. Later, in my digital darkroom, I worked with the raw pixels recreating my original dream's colour, light and mood. #abstractart #abstractphotography #motion #blur #liquid #lightmoods #prints

Squeals of fun, the slap of bare feet on wet concrete, crashing waves and the squarks of seagulls picture the story of the Australian coast indelibly on my mind. These coastal pools, spread around Australia, were initially built to wet and cool the citizens on hot summer days, safe fromthe fear of real and imaginary s...ea creatures. Now, they also hold memories and remnants of past living and lives. Worn, polished steps have seen the same feet skip and later shuffle, growing from tiny & soft to gnarled and wide.
