18.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE! Scroll for link to donate 2018, I was keen to again get involved in the Macca ride to conquer Cancer having participated in the previous two sta...rts. With the previous year 2017 as you all know was of significant importance to me as my beautiful wife Netta was diagnosed with Leukemia , undertook treatment during that year and the good news is she is now doing very well and a recent visit to the Oncologist indicated that he doesnt need to see her for 12 months . The half way mark of the ride is Mandurah with all the riders together at the one function its interesting listening to all the brave participants having suffered themselves or knowing someone that has or is, sitting back the thought always resinates it wont happen to me , but I was wrong a visit to the GP for an annual check last year up showed that my PSA levels had increased and I needed further tests with the result being that I had early stages of prostate cancer and unfortunately when the ride took place I was undergoing treatment, on top of that even if I was able to participate someone must have known that I didnt need the bike as it was stolen the night prior to the ride. I have had the treatment , the bike has been replaced for a faster model and this year Hail , Rain or Shine I am super keen to join the other 800 odd riders and get out there and participate , raise as much as I can for something that we all know goes a long way to help with the necessary research to beat these terrible diseases.
