23.01.2022 The fight to save the CDBS is far from over. At an Informal Senate Hearing today, the ADA argued again in favour of retaining the vitally important scheme. Part...icularly highlighted were the cost saving benefits, both healthwise and financially, of investing in preventative measures. If the Government is serious about delivering oral healthcare to disadvantaged children and adults, it will keep the CDBS open.

The ADA has managed to enlist the Greens, the cross-bench, and now the ALP, who have negotiated to remove the CDBS from the Budget Savings Omn...ibus legislation, to join the ADA in fighting the Government's plans to close the scheme. This means a proper Senate inquiry will take place which it is believed will reveal that it was a lack of promotion and not poor take-up by parents that was to blame for the slow start to this vitally important scheme, and that it should be retained. A few more signatures wouldn't hurt....sign the petition!
