22.01.2022 We love our Friday night touch. Sienna had a big night with 7 tries in 2 games.
20.01.2022 Still focused on that strength work. Like many cases the 80/20 rule applies to physical development. 20% of the exercises will get 80% of the results. Young athletes need to control their bodies through large compound movements to improve balance, stability, strength and overall coordination.... Leave the calf raises and bicep curls to the bodybuilders.
18.01.2022 Intensity You either do it to the best of your ability or take a seat. I don't care how good or how fast the person next to you is, I only care about the effort and intensity of each individual athlete. Lately I'm really trying to emphasise training Intensity for the kids and how important it is to 'switch on' when it's time to go.... Whilst some of our naturally quicker kids have had great results it's really great to see some of our hard workers really starting to reap the rewards of their efforts with some great on field performances lately

To remain an accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach we must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional development. This is made up of face to face hours, courses, degrees and mentorships. As an athlete or a coach there is always more to learn and improvement to be made.
15.01.2022 Having a great time at the touch football National Youth Championships. Mikayla and former PR Performance athletes Honey and Bella had a great day 1 representing the South East Queensland Sharks.
13.01.2022 You know you're getting on when you hear 'Dad' on the footy field. Awesome fun playing a season with Mikayla. Knocked out in the semi's but had a great time dusting off the boots.

05.01.2022 Thanks for another amazing term of training kids As mentioned in your athlete reports there were some amazing on and off field improvements with plenty of new records and personal best performances, as well as getting our rehab athletes back to full capacity. We finished of our term by trialling our new @freelapaus timing system and enjoyed some games and a pizza party... Look forward to seeing you all next term
04.01.2022 Whoops, just scrolling through pics and didn't congratulate Mikayla on receiving players player at the recent National Youth Championships on the Sunshine Coast. A massive shout out to the coaches Drina and Mark who not only taught the girls a great deal but also managed expectations, emotions and made it a really enjoyable weekend.
02.01.2022 Knees & Ankles Use it or lose it! Sometimes we need to protect our joints but more often than not we need to work them in order to strengthen the supporting musculature and connective tissues.... The best way is in a controlled environment not under fatigue. The worst way is not training change of direction and dynamic stability and going into a game situation and hoping that your muscles and joints can withstand the demand. I'd rather tip the odds in my favour
