11.01.2022 We’re very pleased to say that works for Pavilions has now started, with around 70 people coming to see our sod turning ceremony a few weeks ago. Led by local dignitaries and representatives of Pavilions, the ceremony marks the official beginning of the construction phase of the project and is the culmination of nearly 10 years of work. We’re delighted to see that all of our plans are coming to fruition, said Mr Galen Gan, Infrastructure Coordinator for Pavilions. Ten year...s ago we had a dream to create the first 6-star, environmentally conscious lifestyle community for the retiree of tomorrow and now Pavilions Blackburn Lake is about to become a reality. Federal and State government members representing the region, Michael Sukkar MP, Hon. Bruce Atkinson, and City of Whitehorse Councillor, Prue Cutts, attended the ceremony and all spoke about how pleased they were to see this new living option for seniors coming to the area. Like most of the people who’ve seen our plans, the government representatives were particularly impressed with the holistic approach we’ve taken it’s not just about new apartments, it’s about creating an environment that caters for people’s overall wellbeing and fosters a true sense of community. With works now starting, the project is expected to be open for residents in the first half of 2020.
