24.01.2022 Geek Week! Understanding the science of learning is what we do. And, there’s always more to learn! . . . .... . #geekweek #petprofessionalguild #fearfreepets #animalbehavior #animalbehaviourist #dogtrainingadvice See more

23.01.2022 Puppy School! Yes, we are booked out right now, but if you are picking up a pup in January start thinking about booking in NOW! We already have a waiting list and our groups will fill fast. Group classes will start from 9 January. Our trainers are Cert IV Qualified & accredited with the Pet Professional Guild Aust and Delta Institute Australia. We are leaders in positive reinforcement training & use current methods as recommended by the Aust Veterinary Association & RSPCA. Dog training is an unregulated industry & sadly, anyone can advertise themselves as "positive" but use harsh methods. Take care & research your trainer carefully.

20.01.2022 Here’s a good read! If you have dog or a picking up a pup soon, take some time to learn a little about dogs & their needs.

18.01.2022 Over 20 years ago, a dog changed my life & my career. We've had a lot of practice using force free, science based methods. There's always something new to learn from the world's experts, so we can give you & your dog the best training available. And, thank you Gaille Perry for all your hard work helping animal behaviour students for many years.

18.01.2022 Snakes. So many dogs are being bitten. We’re seeing people let dogs off lead in high risk areas. Please think twice!

15.01.2022 Positive reinforcement & fear free methods are so simple, kids can use them! We love the work of the team at Funda Nenja. They are taught to use modern positive reinforcement with their dogs & at the same time are learning important life skills about interacting with another species & each other without causing harm. And, yes, they use food as reinforcement.

10.01.2022 Over the past week or so we have worked incredibly hard under difficult circumstances to get classes started again. We had a backlog of lovely clients waiting to finish courses & a load of new puppy owners desperate to get into classes. A lot goes on behind the scenes to arrange access to the venue and organise everything for you. These have been extraordinary times ... very stressful times. Thank you all for your kindness & patience while we waited for lockdown to end. We ...wish we could have helped everyone, but our resources are limited. While most people are considerate & understanding, an unkind & negative review left today has revealed problems with Facebook Messenger. We do not see all Facebook messages and the best way to communicate is via email or telephone. We do our best! At this time, sharing positive experiences about small business that have struggled for many months is the way to help each other out of the lockdown and towards 2021. 09.01.2022 There's so much bad advice on social media. Just because you've owned a dog for 30 years, doesn't make you a qualified expert. I've driven a car for 30 years, but I can't imagine anyone bringing me their car for a service! Don't be fooled by fancy websites & claims by people saying they are dog behaviour experts. Many claim to be "accredited" or "positive", but are far from it. Research carefully, check credentials & verify professional association claims. Your dog's wel...fare may be at risk! "aversive training methods have undesirable unintended outcomes and using them puts dogs’ welfare at risk

07.01.2022 They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. ... Lest we forget.
