25.01.2022 I met a kitty with a pelted back today. If anyone is wondering what this is I have tried to capture it in the photos. I have also put a video in the comments. Needless to say with this level of matting, it all needed to come off. The remaining dark patches on this girls back is actually ‘scarring’ on her skin from the knots/pelts pulling at her.... Although she was like a jack in the box for the whole time with me, this little lady has to be feeling 100% better after her visit . Thanks mum for bringing her too me, I know going forward this will not happen again.

19.01.2022 Sorry for the long post. Not everything’s a breeze with kitties, let’s not kid ourselves.... I have my share of cranky, of aggressive, or outright dangerous, and ones that simply give me a hard time.... I know with all my training and my magic hands (and personality ) combined with my little bit of crazy that I can get around these different personalities. Mum had taken her Russian Blue boy, Sebastian Don Juan, to multiple groomers over the years that were unable to complete her lovable boy, he simply does not like grooming!!! I’ve heard he is a real lover at home, but yesterday.... he was not my friend. I did finish him, to the best of my ability, and his tolerance level, but with imperfections for sure. Mum was amazed and very happy that I was able to get as far as I could with her boy, he left his normal self and I, well felt like he’d taken me around the block a few times hahaha. Meet Sebastian!!! Don’t look too closely at the clipping, we are all amazed and happy we got this far. PS he doesn’t mind the bath and the blowdry, just resisted everything else lol

18.01.2022 Before and After (and a few inbetween ). Today big boy JJ had a 25mm comb clip, bath and blowdry, nails clipped and ears cleaned. The salon was a hive of activity when he turned up, but he took it all in his stride. What a great man he was .... See you in 8 weeks new buddy .

13.01.2022 Young 16 year old Abby cake for a big pamper session yesterday. As you can see by her before pics pelting was forming in her back quite badly. She seriously talked through the whole session (her sister was in the other room and also had a lot to say too ). Guaranteed 100% Abby is feeling much better for her makeover now .

12.01.2022 How long is your kitties fur on the bottom of his/hers paws? Can the pads touch the ground? Does your kitties need a pedicure? ... Does it get litter dirt stuck into it? Is it an older kitty whose joints would appreciate not slipping out when it is walking/running? Only $5 on top of every pamper session. Let toe tufts be a thing of the past. 08.01.2022 Meet 11yr old Persian X Tikki. Actually more Persian than X lol. Unfortunately his owner needs to rehome him. He is planning on relocating. The current groomer said he's a very sweet cat. The owner just wants him to go to someone who will keep him well groomed and taken care of.... He is over the other side of the city. Please message me if you are interested in welcoming this senior man into your family and meet all his grooming needs. He is going up on a number of groomers sites, so if you are the right fit, please don’t hesitate.

06.01.2022 This is a really great time for you to be mindful of ticks!!! Please be careful what is hiding in your cats long fur, or even worse, under their knots. I didn’t take a photo of the wound (I wish I had) but this little guy was right in the middle of it, so I pulled him out. Please make sure you inspect your cats skin often, especially around this time of year. PS this kitty is unfinished in these photos hahaha

01.01.2022 The first time grooming a cat is like making a business transaction with someone that doesn’t know you, like you or want to be dealing with you. Excessive patting and loving won’t help your kitty like me more, it chose you, not me. It doesn’t know me!!! I need to build trust with your kitty. Most people believe their cats could never be groomed. That’s because you cannot groom your kitty. The cat owns you, you do not own it.... Unless you’ve been grooming them from a very early age, they will resist you, bite you, scratch you, dislike you. No one wants that to happen. That’s why I can help you. I’m trained in temperament and handling, health and anatomy, and just an all round animal lover that knows a cat has a ‘turkey timer’. When it’s cooked, it’s cooked. No more lol. Some timers are long, but most are short. It’s about knowing when to stop, when to rest, the triggers that speed up the timer and the actions that slow it down if possible. It’s about building trust with your kitty. Let me negotiate that initial deal with your cat. Let me pamper them so they are clean and silky. What’s in it for your kitty? It won’t play if it doesn’t benefit from the experience. Cats are selfish creatures (unlike dogs haha), we all know this. A cat spends most of its awake hours trying to preen itself, it wants to be clean, it enjoys being clean. I’m here to negotiate with your kitty with the right tools, the right training and a love for all animals. Your cat will thank you for it, trust me.
