25.01.2022 We went out to this immaculate BMW 335i the other month for some preventative maintenance in regards to the direct injection system. Every once in a while it would have a bit of a splutter on cold start up which we put down to the injectors begining to fail (farely common issue for this model). We sourced a set of index12 injectors from the USA and had them fitted and programmed in a matter of no time. Next on the agenda is a retune to see if we can't squeeze a bit more power out the the twin turbo 3ltr.

23.01.2022 Here's a Nissan Qashqai we carried out a major service on along with a set of front brakes. Soon after we also replaced the battery. Keeping your cars serviced and maintained means your family are safe going from A to B.

21.01.2022 We had the Vy SS wagon for a bit of much needed loving. Carried out a service, oil pressure switch to rectify the engine light, alternator replacement due to not charging, steering rack boots which were torn, power steering hoses which were leaking and a few globes. These cars are getting up there in age now so being on top of all the little things means it will go for another 15 years. Maintenance is the key to longevity.

21.01.2022 A customer called us in regards to a lack of power from their Jeep Renegade, on start up there was an almighty gringing noise from the engine, took of the intake pipe to find the turbo had eaten itself to bits. The turbo oil feed was blocked from sludge as a result of lack of servicing. We sourced and replaced the turbo with a genuine Garrett unit. On start we had a solid misfire on cylinder 4, after carrying out diagnosis we established that the Multiair solenoid controlling cyl 4 intake valves had failed. Quoting up a new multiair brick from Jeep gave us a shock and it was actually $1000 cheaper (and a better option because the replacement engine had 100,000kms less than the original) to replace the engine. We sourced an engine from Tasmania with 4,700kms got it fitted and had the customer on her way.

13.01.2022 Here's one from last month, we were called out to this Territory with brake failure which was caused by burst brake lines. Thankfully the customer knew what to do and managed to slowed the car down with the hand brake. We recommend that if your Falcon or Territory has over 200,000kms you look at getting the brake lines done as preventative maintenance. You may not be as lucky as this customer. (We also carried out a service with a full vehicle inspection)

13.01.2022 Here's another model that we love, BF TYPHOON. We carried out a standard service and full vehicle check over along with fitting up the customer supplied exhaust. There was a night and day difference in drone and note going from the straight pipes to the aftermarket cat back. With it sounding as good as it does now it's time to tackle some of the cars other ailments.

10.01.2022 Here's a quick service and complete vehicle inspection we did on this XR6 Turbo after being recently purchased. As you can see just because you buy a car with a "roadworthy" doesn't mean you can trust the people that did. We wrote up a list and gave it to the client to take back to the car yard to fix back up. Being vigilant can save you a lot of money in the long term because if it went over the 30 days of the roadworthy the customer would have been stuck with the repair bill.

09.01.2022 We had an older supercharged Mercedes come to us with an engine light on and using my more fuel than normal. On inspecting data and testing the oxygen sensors we determined pre and post O2 sensors required replacement. After the repair we retested and confirmed the sensors were running withing parameters and returned the vehicle back to the customer running as it should.

09.01.2022 The other day we were called out to a R51 Pathfinder service and lack of power concern. From the service side of things for having 350,000kms it wasn't in too bad shape being well maintained. As for the lack of power, a split intercooler hose was the culprit. We fitted a new item, tested it and was back at full power.

08.01.2022 Heres one we finished off today. Last week we were called out to a no start situation on a ve Commodore. During cranking we heard popping in the exhaust which lead us to believe a timing issue, with the diagnostic trouble codes confirming it. We delved a bit deeper and found that one of the bolts on the cam gear had come loose, destroying the gear and damaging the cam cap lightly. We had a few options here, but given the situation and with what's been happening over that las...t couple months, it was decided that we would fit a set of genuine timing chains and gears as a first step. After replacing all the necessary components and cleaning as much of the metal filing as possible, we resealed the motor and turned it over with great success. Note: genuine timing chain kit, sump removal and cleaning is the standard on any timing chain replacement we do, this ensures quality over anything else, don't be fooled by the $1000 timing chain replacements posted all over market place, we can promise you there is no quality there. The poor man pays twice!!

05.01.2022 We had this Mercedes come to us with an engine light that's been on "years". A quick scan brought up upstream and downstream O2 sensor codes. Looking into the waveforms we saw they weren't responding and any introduction of extra fuel or vaccum leak wouldn't change their readings too. Fitted up a new set of sensors, tested them out, all tested as they should with the engine light no longer there.

03.01.2022 This is the importance of regular maintenance. We understand that a lot of manufacturers have moved to 15,000km and even longer service intervals but it's just too much in our opinion. Having your car serviced every 10,000kms lets us catch more problems before they turn into disasters. The longer the problem is there the more it will cost causing damage to more and more components. Unfortunately for this customer had a small coolant leak turned into an over heated engine. Rather than a $150 repair it was a few thousand dollars!! (We did manage to source a second hand engine in Nsw with less than half the kms of the original one)

02.01.2022 Here's one of our personal cars we have built over a number of years going from twin low mount turbo to a big single. After making 430 on 9psi on the previous setup and not being happy with how we did it, decided to change the setup for something much cleaner. We opted for a T6 S480 to feed the forged 5.7 going from twin GT35s. After having the starter motor fail the morning of the Dyno (thankfully we had a new one in the van for a customer later in the week) we drove it to Ls1pwr Performance & Tuning where Jason turned the wick up for 680kw and 1500nm with 18.5psi. All that sauce is back by a standard T56 and IRS rear end which we will see how it holds up at the track.
