19.01.2022 Hey everyone! This is a long post but super important! As the weather is starting to cool down, I just wanted to do a quick post about the importance of regular grooming during the winter months! We wouldn’t go the whole of winter without brushing or washing our hair would we? Our dogs shouldn’t either! You definitely don’t need to shave your dogs like you would maybe prefer during the summer period but their skin, coat and nails still need regular maintenance. I love doing ...longer clips and am happy to accomodate for everyone’s needs/wants during the winter period. There are many things I do during a groom you may not notice like clipping out the pads of the feet so your dog doesn’t get knots under there and isn’t sliding around the house, I clip under the arms to avoid any matting under there with constant rubbing of the fur under the arms and it’s lots of little things like this that will become matted if you leave your dog throughout winter. Longer hair does mean more brushing and higher maintenance then your summer clips which is why it’s so important to keep up the grooms and regular brushing at home. You can see these two pictures below which I’ve gotten from the internet showing a matted coat and long nails digging into the pads of the feet from not being groomed. Matted hair is painful and so is overgrown nails! I offer a range of different services to suit all dogs throughout the winter months (bare in mind I will be closed for 3 weeks at June so if you havnt booked your appointment please do so!) The other thing I wanted to touch on is Jackets, while jumpers and jackets look really cute on our dogs during winter the constant rubbing and friction of the jumper on your dogs coat is going to matt their hair up super duper fast and this is the most common type of matting I see come spring. So if your dog has longer hair already it’s best to just leave them off. If your dog has short fluffy hair and you do think they need a jumper, make sure your taking it off daily and giving them a good brush all over to ensure no matting occurs! I know that this is a very long post but super important for the months to come! I love educating owners of the importance of grooming and I hope you have learnt something from this post. Thanks so much for reading this far and if you have any questions at all your more than welcome to send me a message and I’m happy to help in anyway I can! See more

02.01.2022 **Shutdown** Start from 1/4/2020 We anticipate being closed for four weeks until the end of April, but we will keep you up to date with changes. Whilst owning this business for the past 3 years, I have welcomed you with your new puppies also hugged and cried with you on their passing, plus making some beautiful friends along the way. Thanks for sharing a small part of your world with me... I am beside myself as I am sure all of you are. We need to stay safe, stay home and protect ourselves and our loved ones. This closure of my salon along with many other businesses in our community, is only one way we can also help combat this virus. We will leave a box full of brushes , shampoo and conditioner outside our front door, please take it for FREE , help me groom your fluffy one as much as you can, that is the only thing I can do for them. Thank you to everyone, WE WILL SURVIVE AND BE BACK STRONGER THEN EVER! Once again, STAY SAFE Love, Belle
