She’s fully trained to fly in our rapid-response helicopter, enabling us to transport her and her handers, accompanied by rangers, anywhere in the Tsavo Conservation Area where they can immediately start following a poachers’ tracks. 17.01.2022 This amongst many other reasons is why you shouldnt meet a so called Breeder on the side of the road to pick up your puppy, they are not doing you a favour, often it is to hide an abused mother & terrible living conditions,if you cant go the breeders place & see the pups,mum & other dogs this should ring alarm bells... thousands of dollars unfortunately doesnt guarantee a reputable breeder & dogs in good care....These dogs deserve so much better...

08.01.2022 On hold- Meet organised Meet our handsome boy River River didnt have the best start to life and when he first came into rescue at 5 weeks he was very frighte...ned and spent most of his time hiding under the lounge and would hiss and spit when approached. All he really needed was to learn love and trust Here he is 6 weeks later a much more confident boy. He can still get spooked at times and his new family will need to be patient and give him time to settle in but the hisses have been replaced with very loud purrrs and his time now spent out and about He is such a cutie. He loves to play with absolutely anything and everything whether it be a ball, in the tunnel, with a toy mouse or even just a piece of rolled up paper This is how he loves to spend most of his day oh and of course a little nap in between Currently in care with 4 foster host cats of various ages (whom he loves!)and a 5 year old lab, this boy has adjusted and is still adjusting so well to his new environment River is more inclined to sit next to you on the lounge rather than on you and isnt particularly fond of being held for long lengths of time, however with time we think this will hopefully change seeing how far he has come We are looking for the perfect home for River and feel that a home without young children would suit him better. 07.01.2022 I have some great news for all those people who messaged Brightside about Diesel the Staffy who was advertised as a give away on gumtree with a description sayi...ng he was incontinent and had hip dysplasia. We collected Diesel on Saturday and today he had his vet check. At this stage we feel he does not have hip dysplasia and Im also sure he is not incontinent. He is loving Brightside and today I took him to the beach which he thought was brilliant. Hes a beautiful boy. Diesel will not be available for adoption yet and we will not be taking applications for him until we make sure he is really ready and we have a complete understanding of his health. See more

We have launched a crowdfunder on Chuffed. http...s://bit.ly/HelpMrJones Mr Jones was rescued by the RSPCA last year and, as a special needs animal, he needed a forever home that would be willing to address the challenges a blind animal presents with compassion, understanding and kindness. Mr Jones spent months and months at an RSPCA animal shelter awaiting the loving home he was so deserving of but nothing was suitable. The RSPCA team asked us if we could give Mr Jones a forever home at the sanctuary and we of course said yes. We have taken on many special needs in the past, including Oink our blind cow and Seamus the blind sheep. A vital part of keeping our blind residents safe is to provide them with a space that they can safely navigate around in. So, to ensure Mr Jones has a wonderful quality of life for his lifetime, we are planning to build a spacious, purpose-built paddock for him. A paddock where he can roam safely to his heart's content. A paddock with safe, secure fencing to protect him from injury and harm and large enough to share with a companion horse as all animals need their buddies. A timber shelter will also be built as protection from the elements. This project will cost us $22,000. We are asking for your help to raise these funds.
