25.01.2022 Dear our lovely Paws family, I am absolutely heartbroken to share with you that on Wednesday the 29th of July, my beautiful mum and the face of Paws for a Breather, Tracey, has passed away. As many of you would know, Tracey has been battling cancer for the past two years. A few weeks ago we received the devastating news that all treatment options were exhausted, and with the rapid growth of the tumours, we weren't sure how long we would have left. This was a terrible shock to... us and we have still been coming to terms with it. Mum had been in hospital for only 4 weeks when a complication with a procedure took her away from us on Wednesday. This was incredibly sudden and not expected, and we thought we would have more time with her. It is still very hard to believe that this has happened. A service for Tracey will be held on Wednesday the 5th this week. While the venue is quite strict on numbers due to covid restrictions, the service will be live streamed. Please message me for information if you would like to view the stream. Mum and I have made so many friendships through this business, and all who met her know how much she loved this job. I will be continuing in her stead to take care of all your beautiful pets, however, I will need some time before I will be ready to get back to work. 18.01.2022 My dear present and future clients I am excited to announce that starting immediately, my amazing daughter Becky Fraser will be taking on my business and wonderful clientele. I am about to commence a new course of treatment for my cancer, and feel it’s best that Becky takes on the bulk of the workload from here on in. Of course I still plan on helping out whenever I can, as will Becky’s lovely partner Jarrod. I have the utmost confidence in Becky’s reliability, maturity,... and animal care skills, and I know that she will do me proud. She will continue to provide the quality care and love that Paws for a Breather has always shown to our animal clients. Please let us know if you need care for your babies in the future. 14.01.2022 We are open for business! As things slowly return to normal and more restrictions are lifted, we are once again offering our services with a few limitations and guidelines. *For the time being we will not be offering overnight stays, in order to limit our contact time in others' homes. We can still offer once or twice daily visits. (Exceptions may be made in certain circumstances for our lovely special needs pet clients) *It is kindly requested that any surfaces etc we will n...eed to access be cleaned with disinfectant prior to our arrival, and we will do the same when finishing up. *And finally, of course, we cannot operate our services in your home if you have recently or currently are experiencing cold or flu like symptoms, in which case we hope you are staying home safely. 11.01.2022 To my amazing clients, Due to a decline in my health this year, I am unfortunately not able to take on new business for the time being. Existing clients/friends are welcome to contact me if you need pet care, and I will refer the jobs onto my daughter Becky when she is available. I would like to thank you all for your ongoing business, and also your personal support during my illness. 03.01.2022 To our lovely Paws clients Thankyou so much everyone for your patience and understanding through this tough time in our life. It's been a hard couple of months, but we are slowly healing and things are calming down. I am happy to share that we are now beginning to take on bookings and new clients again. For the time being we are limiting stay overs to our special needs clients who need our close attention. But we are still available for once or twice daily visits for your... beautiful furry, feathery and scaley friends! Please get in touch if you are going away and need our services.
