Award-Winning Pet Photography David Brittain is looking for families and their dogs to photograph (studio or location) to expand his portfolio and try out some new ideas. The session is totally free and as a thank you, the successful applicants will receive a $150 credit towards photos or wall art.... You will be an opportunity to purchase photos from the session, but there is no obligation or pressure to do so. All sessions will take place in November, just in time for Christmas! 22.01.2022 Announcement! Im very proud and excited to announce my new book. Much Loved Mutts is now available to purchase! Over the Summer of 2018-19, I was lucky enough to photograph 50 rescued and re-homed dogs for this project, raising thousands of dollars for the RSPCA WA along the way.... At times it was challenging with a number of dogs having lost the trust of strangers. Thankfully with a little patience, we were able to produce the collection of photos featured in this book. Much Loved Mutts has been beautifully printed by Momento Pro, one of the worlds best fine art book printers. Each page is in stunning colour on a thick lustre paper stock. I have had the bookbinding done in 8-page sections so the pages display flat with less centre gutter. As a special offer, the first 50 copies will be signed by me and numbered. The book will retail for $98, but the first 50 can be purchased for $88 included postage and handling in the Perth Metro area. All profits from the book will go to the RSPCA. 16.01.2022 The Christmas tree is up and we're getting into the spirit of the holidays. A reminder that pets should not be fed any festive treats. For example macadamia nu...ts, sultanas and chocolate are all toxic for dogs. Dogs can get gastroenteritis (inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract) or a very painful and life threatening disease called pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) if they eat fatty meats like ham or lamb. 08.01.2022 This is an X-ray of a 2 week old puppy. Look at how far the bones have to grow before they become a proper bony joint! This is why you should never let puppies... jump, walk up/down stairs, over exercise or over train. Doing to much impact activity at a young age will cause serious issues later in life, or even at a young age as hip dysplasia and other orthopaedic conditions are rising in puppies! Remember the puppy rule for every month increase activity by 5 minuets! For example an 8 week old puppy only needs 10 minuets physical activity a day - a 6 month old only needs 30 minuets a day of physical activity!! *physical activity includes - going for a walk, training, playing fetch, running, playing with other dogs etc. Enjoy your new puppy but remember you wouldnt make a 6 month old baby run a mile a day so dont make your puppy either!
