11.01.2022 Why we use Polycarbonate instead of glass or perspex. Polycarbonate is what we use because of its extreme durability and resistance to harsh conditions especially when compared to glass. Glass can be easily broken and damaged, causing a potentially hazardous situation. Polycarbonate is also not susceptible to yellowing or hazing due to sunlight like Perspex is. The impact Resistance of Polycarbonate is considered almost unbreakable, giving it a very clear advantage over glas...s in safety. It can withstand extreme force during burglaries and harsh weather. For security purposes, polycarbonate sheeting protects much better against burglaries because of its unbreakable properties.
