25.01.2022 Great evening with our more advanced group in Ocean Grove. We get to train in different locations with our more advanced dogs because of the hard work they have put in and high standard they have achieved. We can start applying what they have learned into different situations and different locations

23.01.2022 Time to celebrate making it to (almost) the end of 2020! What a weird year it's been. Thank you for all your amazing support and patience throughout a year of cancellations, restrictions and venue changes. We have learned a lot this year and feel like we have come out the other side stronger than ever. We're so excited for a (hopefully) bigger and better 2021!... A huge thank you to our wonderful staff - Karen, Nina, Lauren, Susie (from the wonderful Clawbaby Pet Services ) and our new team members joining us in 2021 Wendy and Victoria. We will be closed as we spend some much needed time with our families and will reopen on Saturday 2nd January for Beach Recall (our office will be open from 4th Jan). Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy New Year

16.01.2022 Cafe manners with Astrid and Geordie a couple of weeks ago

15.01.2022 Some fantastic information here about how to find a reputable breeder. Of course, there are always plenty of dogs available for adoption through rescue organisations as well!

15.01.2022 Last Thursday we had fun shaping ringing a bell with our dogs. We sent everyone home with the challenge to teach their dogs a trick to bring to class and share. We're looking forward to seeing some creative tricks tomorrow night!

14.01.2022 Great work from our beginners on Monday night

14.01.2022 Meet the beautiful Pharah and Mercy These two beautiful dogs needed our help with learning how to play in a nice and calm manner around the house. While Pharah is keen to play, puppy Mercy can get a bit overexcited and over the top if play goes on for too long and Pharah gets overwhelmed. We worked on how to help these two (particularly puppy Mercy) regulate play so they don't get too over the top. When introducing a new dog to the household, its important to help our dogs ...(particularly puppies) learn what is appropriate behaviour around each other to ensure success in a multi-dog household. Great work from Pharah, Mercy and their dedicated owner!

13.01.2022 Thanks so much to everyone who came along and celebrated Cindy Radonic with us. She would have absolutely loved it Special thanks to Lynne Donnelly, Joe Radonic , Robyn Coverdale, Max Paine for the help organising and running the agility event. Robyn organized all the prizes for us which was amazing. Pauline Radonic we missed you there but we all had a lovely time celebrating our wonderful Cindy and as usual her boys did her proud. She did such a wonderful job of raising ...them to be polite helpful and lovely boys. Love to all, and most of all here’s to Cindy If you would like to donate to help Cindy’s lovely boys with their future the link is below of the go fund me page xx https://gf.me/u/y75k9h

08.01.2022 Djindi came to help Rosie with some recall training. Rosie is very friendly but gets distracted by other dogs on the other side of the park. Even though Rosie’s intentions are good, it’s overwhelming for other dogs and owners to have an excited German Shepherd approaching at speed so we need to get this behaviour under control. Earlier in the year we me Rosie and worked with her when she was having trouble getting over stimulated by the cat in her new home. After a lot of pat...ience from her owners and practice Rosie and the cat became great friends. Scroll along to the 3rd picture to see Rosie and the cat after our sessions. Now we look forward to getting Rosie on the right track with her recall under distraction. #dogtraininggeelong #dogtrainingoceangrove #dogtrainingpointlonsdale #dogtrainingclasses #individualdogtraining #dogbehaviour #dogbehaviourconsulting #thefamilydogtrainer #recall #obediencetraining #canineenrichment #geelongdogtraining #geelongdogtrainer #impulsecontrol #bellarinedogs #dogtrainingaustralia #dogsocialisation #nilf #giveyourdogajob #nothinginlifeisfree #dogsandcats @pawtasticpawsbellarine See more

07.01.2022 CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY BREAK With 2020 almost over, it's time for us to have a short break before a bigger and (much, much, much) better 2021. Congratulations to all of you for keeping up your dedication and motivation for training in what has not been an easy year. CONSULTS are now fully booked for the year. We are taking bookings for consults starting from 4th January.... GROUP CLASSES have now finished for the year. . Our Term classes will resume in Term 1 2021. In the meantime, we have a number of Beach Recall events throughout the summer period. Check out out events page for dates, times and availability. OUT AND ABOUT CLASSES will be resuming in the new year. Please email us at [email protected] to find out more information and to be added to the wait list. Thank you for all your support, patience and flexibility as we have muddled through this year. We are looking forward to being back bigger, better and more organised in the new year! Most importantly, have a HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR!

03.01.2022 You wouldn't know it from her beautiful smile, but Stevie has had a lot going on in her life up to now. Suffering from separation anxiety, Stevie has already had a couple of homes on her short little life. Her new owner has asked us to help make Stevie more comfortable with being left alone (even for short periods) without her howling, barking or escaping. Separation Anxiety can be tricky to tackle so we are working alongside a vet behaviourist to give Stevie and her mum the best chance possible to make life easier.

02.01.2022 Our Advanced dogs worked hard during class at Ocean Grove Park a couple of weeks ago. All went home ready for a sleep!

01.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago we were lucky enough to meet Missy. Missy's family asked for help with her loose leash walking, lunging at passing cars, and being protective of her ball at the beach. We put in place some extra obedience training around her much loved ball and practiced focus and walking on a loose leash. Missy's dedicated owners worked hard after our consult and the results definitely showed when we had our follow-up session!
