10.01.2022 Hello to all our Geraldton based followers and supporters. We are commencing a new intake of members and August will be "New Member Month". Each Sunday afternoo...n in August will be an opportunity for any new members to attend and participate in our training sessions. Each week there will be a brief welcome, introduction and explanation of what we do. Then our training session will continue as per usual with newcomers being able to join in and see exactly what we do. At the end of training we will regroup at base for a Q & A session. New people should not bring their dogs along to their first session: it is a chance to watch, help and learn. You will also receive valuable information on how to ensure your dog's safety, security and comfort during subsequent sessions. If you like what you see and come back for a second or more session, then bring your dog along and, while some teams are on track, you will get the chance to participate with your dog in some of our beginner's training exercises. New people can attend training as many times as they like throughout August and, by the end of the month, will be invited to make a decision about whether or not they wish to join as a member. Training will commence at 2 pm and, as it will closely follow a regular training session, you should be prepared to remain until 6 pm. Most training sessions go for between 2 to 4 hours and New Member Month won't be any different in that respect. Locations vary from week to week, so keep an eye out for the Event on this page and, if you indicate your attendance in the Event you'll be able to stay up to date on all the details.
