Fire activity has increased on the northern edge of the fire.... A strong southerly change is expected to cross the fire ground over the coming hours. 13.01.2022 Update from NSW Rural Fire Service: Watch and Act - Kerry Ridge Fire (Muswellbrook) Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for this fireground on Saturday 21st December 2019. Conditions will be very dangerous due to high temperatures, strong and gusty winds and low humidity.... This potential fire spread prediction map shows the communities that may come under threat from embers or fire fronts. Other areas surrounding the fire may still come under threat if conditions change such as forecasts, or fires breaking containment lines. 01.01.2022 With temperatures set to soar over the coming days the NSW Rural Fire Service have declared a state wide total fire ban and is urging communities to prepare. After careful consideration, taking into account these current predictions, Paxton Fire Station has decided to cancel the annual Santa Lolly Run. We do sincerely apologise to the community of Paxton for this event being cancelled. We urge all communities to stay safe in the these difficult conditions and we will endeavour to be back bigger in 2020.
