25.01.2022 Live music tonight with a PMF favourite, Ricki Wood

22.01.2022 We were thrilled to be involved with Recharge 2020 Festival. Here is the regional music stage if you missed it, featuring local Gippsland band The Soultanas and host Brett Glover.

21.01.2022 HELP! WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HAVE A MUSIC FESTIVAL IN 2021! The Paynesville Business & Tourism Association has run the Paynesville Music Festival for the last 20+ years and in 2021 we face our biggest challenge! We always get great sponsor support, lots of attendees and we usually manage to withstand the weather! But we have about 8 volunteers. It's not enough. The COVID requirements for our festival in 2021 mean that we need a lot more volunteers if we are going to go ahead in... February 2021. We want to make it bigger and better than ever (with social distancing), or we can just cancel it and stay home? When we say "volunteers", we don't mean "Oh yeah maybe I can help", we mean "Yes, I can make myself available for a big part of the last weekend in February to help put up marquees, stack chairs, stand at the gate, ask people if they feel sick, refill the hand sanitiser, clean the toilets (eeew!), and anything else I'm asked to do to to make the event happen". And listen to some fabulous music! We are going to make a decision in the next 3 days whether to go ahead or not. Ask not "What can my music festival do for me", but "What can I do for my music festival"! Please either sign up as a volunteer in the comments, or privately message us and we will know whether in this town of about 3,000 residents, we can find 30 volunteers to run a music festival and show COVID that we won't be beaten! Thanks! See more

19.01.2022 Sing ‘n’ Swing performing to a happy, appreciative, social-distancing, live-music-starved, masked-up crowd on the Paynesville foreshore, on Bernie’s Floating Tin Shed on a picture-perfect, sunny Spring day Bring on the 2021 PMF!

19.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT After long and careful thought, the organising committee for the Paynesville Music Festival has taken the tough decision to not go ahead with the festival in February 2021. We thank those people who volunteered to help out, but the COVID-Safe requirements are too hard, and we don’t have the people and resources to fence public spaces, check people in, and make them socially distance while dancing the tango!... We don't take this decision lightly as we know how treasured our festival is by locals, visitors and musicians. INSTEAD... there will still be a weekend of live music in local venues in the last weekend of February, 26th-28th 2021. Just no large public outdoor performances. AND... we will run a new series of planned and impromptu musical performances throughout the whole year, around the streets, on Bernie’s floating tin shed and in special ticketed indoor events. We will have A WHOLE YEAR of music in Paynesville in 2021 to keep us singing and dancing! THEN...we plan to make the Paynesville Music Festival new and exciting and the BEST EVER in 2022.

18.01.2022 Fingers crossed for Feb 26,27 & 28 2021!

17.01.2022 Save the Date for 2021 PMF - 26, 27 & 28 February (all being well!)
