21.01.2022 Currently raining in Woopi, and more forecast for this morning. I suggest indoor bike trainer session of 60-90 min depending on your goals and motivation. 15 min WU with 15 sec of high Cadence i each of final 10 mins. 40-70min MS. 3min at RP intensity, 1min rec repeats. 5-10 min WD spin an easier gear.... 21.01.2022 lets hope our morning temps keep increasing.....sub 5 deg + wind chill is not fun on the bike! a small determined group pushed a solid pace north to Range road and back, successfully consolidating their race pace conditioning. anyone thinking about a bike fit? Do not be slack! 60-90 mins on the bike Friday....skills...drills.....hills. Sat swim , join the mermaids/mermen at woopi beach 7.00? 7.30? you better check the time! 21.01.2022 Near perfect morning for Bike Session, bit cool but comfortable for those wearing appropriate gear. Warm up and skills sets well handled, some grunting due to poor gear selection in the out of seat efforts over top of Queen street climb. Our Pollack esp to headland water tower set was challenging for all, 400m one leg ride on gentle up hill into steep 150m climb both feet in peddles X 4-6. Well done all! the race pace efforts on Lake road felt good after drill set. Cheers Phil P.S. Sunday run/bike/run on again this Sunday, start 6.30 am Beach street opposite Woopi pool. All welcome(but this is not an easy session), let me know if you are comming.

19.01.2022 Wednesday and Friday bike sessions completed on dry roads and at a tolerable temperature, well done to all who participated. to those who stayed in their comfort zone......fitness and skills are maintained and improved by practice. No Sunday session this week or Wednesday next week as I am racing a duathlon in Brisbane, back to normal Friday 27th July.

18.01.2022 Pete and I successfully completed our run/bike/run session on Sunday as did Tina and Karen with their modified version. If you are not going to GC runs and would like an endurance session come along next Sunday(6.30 am start) weather permitting, more detail latter in week. cheers Phil

17.01.2022 Friday mornings skills,drills and hills bike session was well attended this morning.....well done all! The skills displayed by some astounds me....while maintaining a straight line on the road some group members can bold a drink bottle in one hand, look behind for traffic and hold a deep and meaningful conversation......true multi skilling. Some riders discovered they can build leg strength and skill while doing one leg riding drills?! As riders had to depart for work commitm...ents and the hills got steeper numbers in the group decreased. Isaiah kindly stayed so I could not back off the last hill set. A good session! Thanks everyone. Anyone looking to do an endurance workout on sunday morning you are welcome to join me for a 6.30 am start (Beach st opposite the pool Woopi) 60 min run/90 min bike/30 min run. 17.01.2022 After a very cold and early morning ( 3 degrees, felt like zero ) the sun was quickly warming up both athletes and spectators at the Springfield Duathlon ( part of the Queensland Triathlon series) . A great venue, lots of space and parklands, room for the event and non participants, well organised. Phil finished, injury free .



16.01.2022 Unfortunately today's bike session was cancelled at 6 AM due to rain, wet roads and the risk of being wet and cold for 60-90 minutes. Hopefully Friday will present better conditions for bike riding. 6 AM start Beach Street Woopi(opposite Pool)
