08.01.2022 Budget night is normally grand final night for accountants, but this year was a little bit anticlimactic given the imminent election. In fact, the budget was delivered more as a marketing department enticement to elect a coalition government but lets not get into a political discussion! For you, our valued clients, there is a couple of things to be aware of and we encourage you to make a time to discuss with your accountant how this impacts you. The changes are mainly around future rates and tax brackets for individuals, and we presume will be contingent on us electing the Coalition back into government, but there are some tax planning opportunities for business owners, as well as some measures for tweaking your finances.
