25.01.2022 All teams, please check the date of your games. GC Basketball advised that several teams have shown up who didn't have a game tonight. With the traffic being bad we don't want more team's to experience this.

23.01.2022 Dear Parents, Here is a copy of the email that has been sent regarding Friday night games. Please check your inbox as it includes a parking pass to print out & Return to play policies. Pls pm your email address if you did not receive this email & I will forward one to you as we can not attach files to this Facebook page. Thank you PBC Team. Thank you so much for your patience over the first two weeks of GCJBL. Everyone has done a great job with all the COVID requirements. We... just want to let you know that this Friday has another AFL game (Brisbane v Essendon) so we are expecting a bigger crowd than the game two weeks ago. There will be congestion leading up to the AFL game time. To alleviate that I have attached a gameday parking pass, that you can print out and leave on your dashboard to help the parking officers waive you through quickly and try to limit the delays arriving to the stadium. There is still no spectators allowed for this weeks game, we are working with council to change this in the near future and will keep you updated of this. You can still utilise the pick up and drop off point that is in the COVID plan (attached), but we are allowing parents to park underneath the stadium as well this week to make this easier on everyone. Council has requested that everyone please use the traffic system, and please do a U-turn at the roundabout and enter the underground carpark. (As per the diagram in the pdf document) Please note as well that you can not park your car at the drop-off and pickup spot as well. There doesn’t seem to be any rain this Friday, so teams will be out on the front lawn before they are told to enter the stadium, teams exiting the stadium will walk past the chairs and be at the far end of the grass area to be picked up from. 17.01.2022 RE: SATURDAY TIME SLOTS GC Basketball have just advised that there is no longer an 8.00am time slot, therefore the only option was to move all games to a 9.00am start. 12.01.2022 FINALS INFORMATION from GC Basketball. Just a reminder that this week is the last of the regular rounds. (Friday is Round 8 split round games). The last round of games (playoffs) are: Wednesday 25th November... Friday 27th November Saturday 28th November All teams will play games except for the last placed team on the ladder in competitions where there is a bye. 1st vs 2nd (medal game) 3rd v 4th 5th vs 6th etc There will be no presentation this year however the Gold and Silver medals will be distributed on the night to teams immediately following their games. Note that I have split the U15 Girls competition into D1 and D2 (as discussed at the delegates meeting at the start of the season). 10.01.2022 GCJBL COVID-19 SPECTATOR UPDATE Please see the updated GCJBL spectator policy as of this Friday. Please adhere to the policies and procedures laid out in this document.... We all want our competitions to stay open to spectators, so please ensure that the guidelines are being followed at all times. 10.01.2022 We have just heard from GC Basketball that from tonight TWO spectators will be allowed to enter the premises. That is strictly two specators, not two adults and a child. Entry for all spectators is via the northern entrance to the stadium. Strictly TWO spectators per player (eg, 1 guardian + 1 child or 2 guardians) Spectators in Hall 2 for courts 2,3 and 6,7 must only be seated in the mezzanine on level 2, NO spectators... courtside under any circumstances. Spectators on the mezzanine floor must use the southern exit from the stadium immediately following the conclusion of the game. Spectators in Hall 2 for courts 1,8,4,5 can view games (courtside) from the opposite side of the score bench only, (there is no seating available, standing room only), spectators for courts 4,5 must exit the stadium via the glass doors between courts 4,5, spectators on courts 1 and 8, will exit through the glass doors between courts 1,8. Spectators in Hall 1 please use the seating available on the side of courts 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 and exit through the southern exit at the conclusion of your games (exit via court 4). Social distancing to be practiced at all times Spectators must leave the stadium immediately at the conclusion of the game. Failure to adhere to the rulings above will result in going back to a no spectator policy. The Recreation Centre advised us today that they have 3 camps next weekend and we are concerned there will be a worse parking situation than usual. Details for 2021 will be on fb in January 21. 06.01.2022 Hi Teams, We have heard that there are a lack of referees for tonight's games as there are 15 refs that are away at school state champs. GC Basketball have tried to get as many covered as possible but there will be a few games with only solo refs. They will try and manage this as best as possible. It was felt that the quality last time was not as good as we wanted, acccordingly we did not include a charge in the sign on fees. 02.01.2022 Dear Parents, We have new instructions for tonight's games. The underground carpark is available for everyone to use. As rain is expected all players/officals will have a designated area to wait. (First row of carparks outside the internal staircase) where there will be signage for teams to line up in the courts.... There is a separate players entrance (far right doors northern entrance) and scorebench, managers, coaches, delegates will enter through the left hand side (closest door to the registration desk upstairs). The middle row of steps will be used for everyone to exit the stadium. There will be clear signage and people to give directions. NOTE: DUE TO ONLY ONE TEAM OFFICIAL BEING ABLE TO BE ADDED TO THE COURTSIDE APP ALL MANAGERS, COACHES, SCORETABLE OFFICIALS AND CLUB DELEGATES MUST USE THE QR SCAN CODE TO ENTER THE STADIUM. The QR Scans will be directly outside the internal stairs so please ensure that all officials scan prior to going upstairs. They must then show security the confirmed check in on their phones when they enter. This is non negotiable, no one will be allowed entry without it. There will also be an ipad downstairs for anyone that does not have a phone. Go Magpies!
