17.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS! RE: POTTSVILLE BEACH COMMUNITY MARKETS' NEW RESTART DATE - 4 OCTOBER 2020 Greetings one and all we hope you are weathering the current climate well.... Yesterday, a decision was made by Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre’s Market Coordinators and Sub-committee to further delay the recommencement of our community markets, due to coronavirus-related factors. THEREFORE, THE SCHEDULED MARKET RESTART DATE IS 4 OCTOBER 2020 We apologise for any inconvenience this delay may have caused to market stallholders and invested parties, including our local community. We absolutely love running the markets and look forward to their return. As these factors are out of our control, please keep up to date by following our Facebook page Pottsville Beach Markets (We will post announcements here if the situation changes.) Again, thank you to all those stallholders who have submitted their COVID-19Safe Plans and completed their online registration. We really appreciate your cooperation in helping us all to keep safe while at the markets. For all new casual stallholder enquiries, please email us at [email protected] so that we can send you all relevant information. Many thanks, everyone, for your patience and understanding during these very testing times.

We thank you very much for sticking to your COVID-19 Safety Plans, using hand sanitiser, performing spatial distancing and respiratory hygiene practices. It all helps to keep our community safe. This Sunday's 18 October market (7:15am to about 1:00pm AEDT) is shaping up to be another fine opp...ortunity for you to venture out and about on a bargain hunt, with so many existing and new stalls from which to shop. PROSPECTIVE STALLHOLDERS: PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL STALLHOLDER BOOKINGS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS MARKET. TCYP workers will be there to answer all your questions, and you can pick up a service pamphlet while you are there. TCYP is a collaboration between Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre, Cabarita youth service and the NSW Government. See you at the market, at a safe distance, of course! 09.01.2022 What's missing in this photo...? YOU, of course: our community! And...... BIRTHDAY CAKE! PBNC's birthday always coincides with Neighbourhood Centre Week and, shortly after, National Volunteers' Week. To mark our special, annual occasion we would traditionally be heavily and happily involved in events that bring people together, in a social, community setting, especially designed to combat loneliness and bring fun, food and frivolity into people's lives. In these current, strange and testing COVID-19 times, PBNC is 'celebrating' its 20th birthday very differently and oh so quietly. We are only open for essential services which means that social gatherings, including birthday celebrations, are definitely out of the question right now. And in any case, most of our valuable and much loved volunteers are safely tucked away at home. On the upside: our semi-isolation provides us with more time to concentrate on planning a really big and loud 21st! Stay safe and well and spare a moment to reach out (at a safe distance) to those who may be doing it really tough in isolation - especially this Sunday - Mother's Day!. #NeighbourhoodCentreWeek #NeighbourhoodCentreWeek2020 #NCW2020

03.01.2022 Calling all actors 18 to 24 years! We know it is a crazy time of the year, but it's never too soon to save this date! The Performance Workshop is especially t...argeting those aspiring young actors (18 -24 years) living within the Tweed Shire and is designed for those interested in increasing their screen acting skills and opportunities. It is very rare for young people to have an opportunity to participate in a workshop of this nature in our rural location. First Nations aspiring young actors are especially encouraged to register their interest. If you are interested and not able to afford the registration fee for this full day workshop (including lunch), you may apply for a scholarship via PBNC’s Tweed Coast YouthPlanted Program to cover the registration fee. There are limited places, so it is best to put your EOI in now (please refer to flyer about how to apply and to find out other very interesting details).

Please note that there is no market on 29 November. Can you believe its November already? A special welcome shout-out to new casual stallholders variety is the spice of life! And as usual, thank you to existing stallholders for staying with us, and a warm welcome to anyone who chooses to visit us for the first time. ... The market coordination team and everyone at Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre are very happy with the vibrancy and diversity that existing and new stalls bring to our ever-growing, friendly and inclusive community. Thanks again to all stakeholders for following our COVID-19 Safety Plan. It’s heartening that everyone can venture outside, come together at a community event, take precautions and stay safe during these uncertain and testing times. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre's onsite Op Shop, Community BBQ and Trash n Treasure activities will not be operating at the November 1st market. See you all on Sunday!

02.01.2022 TO ALL STALLHOLDERS AT POTTSVILLE BEACH COMMUNITY MARKET RE: RESTART DATE 2/8/2020 POSTPONED NEW PROPOSED RESTART DATE 6/9/2020 ... PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PROVISIONAL DATE, SUBJECT TO CHANGE, AS THIS IS AN EVOLVING SITUATION Due to the advice of the NSW Premier today (22/7/2020), an emergency meeting was held by the Pottsville Beach Market Sub-committee and a unanimous decision was made to postpone the markets’ reopening until September 6, 2020. The Sub-committee would like to thank all stallholders who have completed the new online registration and submitted their own COVID-19 plan. We realise this has been a challenging and time-consuming process. Many thanks indeed to those stallholders who have completed these tasks (ie. the online registration form and COVID-19 plan). ALL stallholders who are yet to complete the online registration and submit their COVID-19 plan will need to finish both tasks in order to be market-ready when we reopen. If you require a link to complete the tasks, please email us at [email protected] Please follow our Facebook page for updates and more information. Again, this is an evolving situation. Today's decision has been made with the health and well-being of the community in mind, including all market stakeholders. Kind regards, PBNC's Pottsville Beach Market Team
