16.01.2022 One of the most common questions we get in the field of laptop repair is "How can I make my laptop battery last longer" Well the most common thing that people do is run their laptop on the AC adapter continuously and rarely on battery alone. When you are not mobile and the laptop is essentially deskbound - Take the battery out . Not only will that extend the life of the battery but your laptop will actually run cooler and ultimately faster. If you need to move the laptop briefly, just plug the battery back in. Your laptop only needs the battery to power the laptop without mains power so if you have mains power available there is no need for the battery to be in the laptop.

09.01.2022 Computer brands are usually a personal choice (or what the salesmen at the time is getting a bonus on and tells you). A study was released in Nov 2009 and found Toshiba and ASUS to be the most reliable (see the link). These figures... would be inaccurate though as a consumer laptop (like Harvey Norman JB Dick Smith sell) is built to a budget and more susceptable to problems as they are essentially made like disposible razors. I say this because the HP Business laptops are pro...bably the most reliable and yet HP did not fair well in the study. I prefer to steer people towards an ex lease business laptop than a new consumer one because a) they are generally 2 years old but designed to last 5+ b) They cost less than a new consumer one c) provide high performance . They do lack the bling and sexy looks the consumer ones have and that is the only down side. If I had to choose a new consumer type, I would stick with Toshiba though. http://www.tomshardware.com//most-least-reliable-notebooks
