23.01.2022 When bitlocker encrypts your drive you recieve a message asking you where to store your key. If you lose this key, you cannot recover this drive or any data. The purpose of bitlocker is so that no one can access any data from the device. If the key is lost there is no way around it except to wipe the drive, in which you lose the data, but you can then keep using your computer. It is important to make a note of the actual microsoft account the key is saved to.
