25.01.2022 PISTONHEAD Custom Lager - Take on Cape Solander - Pt. II As perfect 6-8ft lines pushed down the reef at Cape Solander, Richi Vas and mates caught some of the best waves Bates Bay has to offer in recent months. Richi is riding the all black iq+ shaped by Stuart Paterson, pictured above. Drawing his line into one of the early big set waves of the day, Richi put the new solidly glassed surfboard to its ultimate test. After a day of waves like Thursdays, PISTONHEAD Custom Lager have definitely gained some footage that will come forward over the next weeks.

25.01.2022 Is the lounge not close enough? Is the surfboard too far away? Is this like a sock? Is the space between working? This lounge is getting weathered from spending a lot of time outside, even in the rain. There was some interesting values that had to be cropped for the sake of a tidy post.

24.01.2022 Some new work at pccboards. Lovely winter colour tones with the wet look that only water brings. So what can we call this mix of hues? The board is 6 foot - tinted black glass, with two tone pink and teal fillers. Dig it.

24.01.2022 Just finished today - a little piece of original art for Sean Brown - hand painted by me, inspired by Pam Hall - 8 foot 8 tri fin full of love.

23.01.2022 Very nice work coming to PCC from California - our good friends at Green Fuz put together this latest order that is in the sky somewhere. Dig the FUZ. They have some very nice trunks coming as part of this order people.

20.01.2022 Looking through some old papers - found this water colour from my night classes half a life time ago - painting on surfboard foam behaves much the same as water colour paper - some may pick a resemblance to my surfboard artwork.

20.01.2022 Here we have a double question. What, what, what can we call this combo? The one on the left is a very dark blue 7 foot 6 mid length - the one on the right is a 6 foot 10 custom order with a Thai silk inlay. Both boards have the logo etched into the glass, one off unique surfboards. Dig it! Come up with some imaginative surfboard naming for your chance to advance. Winner gets a repair voucher worth 100 bucks form PCC Boards Thank you for your input.... SP.

19.01.2022 JJ Pike taking on some heavy ones at the National Park. Wet, wild and not for the faint hearted. Riding a 5 foot 10 PCC tow board - built to handle these sorts of conditions. Lots of people are very proud of you young man, not just for surfing.

16.01.2022 Some new work that has come out over the last week or so. The old lounge is gone, it was just to far ruined to be continuing. Stay tuned for a new seating photographic prop. Great tints here on show, looking very much like summer surfing fun. Your comments are welcome on anything about these pictures.... SP.

13.01.2022 To all the people out there in FB land. I am proud to announce that the exhibition of eleven hand shaped surfboards that was created last year was sold out today. In putting forward the idea of the ALL BY HAND exhibition was a way to express the artistic views with surfboards. From this experience I have learned a lot, hopefully opening feelings and imaginations of the viewers in a positive way. I would like to express my appreciation to all the people that made the work and the day/event happen. To all those that purchased one of these special in my eyes surfboards, I am grateful to you for trusting what I stand for with my art. Thank you for following PCC boards. SP.

12.01.2022 The Mini Simmons keel fin by Alkali and PCC Surfboards - http://bit.ly/Mini-simmons

12.01.2022 Here is a beautiful minisimmons to go with the fins from yesterdays post. Summer 5 foot 8 twin PCC design Alkali fins. Custom ordered for Chucky Trouville - if you see it close up you ought to say hi this summer.

11.01.2022 Pre 1960 Balsa Pig At PCC surfboards we consider how the past has influenced our present. The surfboards we make are both contemporary in performance and retro in its artistry. Some models are clearly a direct reflection of a past period, like a 1964 style log or 1970 single fin. The contemporary shapes have some aspects of previous eras without losing the modern overall appeal. The featured black and white photograph was supplied by a good friend Greg Ferrow, of his father ...holding his pride and joy, a pre 1960 balsa wood 10 foot log surfboard. The smaller pics are of the registration stickers (mandatory of the time) and a profile shot of the skeg fin. This classic shot depicts so much of the time in the shire, the housing, cars, clothing .... which sends you back to the time in the viewers mid. SP

10.01.2022 Thinking about stories, writing, design theory, materials ... Writing about making surfboards is surely interesting. 07.01.2022 What does the design conjure in the mind of the viewer? We want to come up with a nick name for this beautiful piece. Please feel free to comment or share what you feel people. Just completed at http://pccboards.com.au/ with a new colour way approach. This time we have a beach break mal built for Arno Muskins. ... Here is the technical stuff - 9 foot 3 by 23 wide by 3 inches thick - single fin box - cross over modern reto This board is a rust colour laminate with two tone fillers that have been shabby sanded for the rustic effect. The logo is a requested HTK that was derived on from a t-shirt design for one of the PCC shows. The logo is a resin filled etching, which goes well with the hands on work that is evident here. Thank you for you looks, likes and comments - if you like this image please vote with your button finger and like us on the this :PCC Boards facebook fan page Regards, SP.

03.01.2022 PISTONHEAD Custom Lager - Take on Cape Solander PCC surfboards have been commissioned by Piston Head Lager to make a special surfboard encompassing their logo. The PISTONHEAD Brewing Co, are working on gaining some exposure in the Australian market. What better way than to call upon Richi Vas (legend charger and MMA fighter) to surf Cape Solander in the early am tomorrow in glassy 5-6 ft conditions. This unique surfboard, crafted at PCCBoards is sure to turn heads under the feet of Richie Vas. Richi May also use this same stick in the up coming CAPE FEAR tournament beginning soon. So viewers, we are left with just one question. Does beer really make everything better?
