23.01.2022 The third round of Information, Linkages and Capacity (ILC) Building grants follows joint State and Commonwealth funding of nearly $9 million awarded to 65 projects across WA in 2017-18. The ILC is a key component of the Australia-wide National Disability Insurance Scheme and is focused on building the capacity of the community, people with disability, their families and carers. The four priority areas are:... Building the capacity of organisations delivering recreational pursuits and activities to provide inclusive services Building the capacity of people with disability to engage in meaningful employment Providing employers with information and tools to employ people with disability Building awareness and capacity within communities of the contributions of people with disability. 18.01.2022 We Have A Winner - What a Local Legend!!! Announced live on Coast Live Megan Reynolds!!!is our winner! The manager of Food Bank Peel, Megan was nominated ...by her husband Scott for helping those in need during COVID. Demand for help from Food Bank surged, but much of their volunteer base was not permitted to leave home, as they are over 70. Megan stepped up and worked 14 hour days distributing emergency relief at Food Bank, and then came home to work online sourcing more food from retailers. She put her family in second place to help others in need during this time. A big thank you to all our Local Legends - our community is forever grateful!!!

06.01.2022 On the 19 December 2018 PCDG held its annual general meeting. The Chairperson and Treasurer reports were presented and accepted, exiting Board members thanked for their contribution and new Board members welcomed. The new Board consists of the following members: Jill Robinson, Chairperson; Liz Prescott, Deputy Chairperson; Patrick Dudley; Kaye Seeber; Megan Mitchell; Bill Robinson; Nicole Lambert; Nick Mathieson; Kay Hlaing; Sharon James. Leanne O'Neill will remain as Treasurer and Kristie Tonkin Secretary for an interim period whilst the new Board members are inducted.
