12.01.2022 With the commencement of daylight saving and the warmer weather, The Peterborough Community Garden Committee would like to warmly invite you to attend our weekly Tuesday late afternoon Twilight Sessions up at the garden. This is a time of relaxation and friendship for garden members and an ideal opportunity for anyone from the community to come along and have a look at what we get up to. You will be given a tour of the garden, meet some of the committee members, and be made... to feel welcome by other garden participants. We’d love to see you there. No gardening experience is required and some people come along just for the social side of things. The garden is a truly relaxing and therapeutic place to be later in the evening on those long hot summer days. Everyone is welcome. The times to come up are between 6-8 pm each Tuesday evening. If it has been a particularly hot day, or very wet and cold day, it should be taken for granted that the event will have been cancelled for that evening, this doesn’t occur often. Please come along. All welcome including friends of the garden and those who have previously been plot holders. We’d love to meet new people and catch up with our old friends again. 05.01.2022 Peterborough Community Garden is kicking off the Spring season with a plant stall at the Petersburg Proclamation Day Market. We will be selling Heirloom Seedlings and Plants. All home grown in Peterborough!! Limited stock so get in early. Loads of fun things happening on the day and heaps of market stalls! To be held at the Peterborough Football Oval on Sunday 7 October 2018. 11:30am to 4pm. See you there.

05.01.2022 The shed that was put up once then taken down so it could have a concrete floor....then re-built on top of the slab. Then the access ramp was added to the front....now to fill the shed!!

03.01.2022 Welcome to 2018 everybody There has been lots of activity up at PCG already this year. Plans are set for the digging of a trench from the Medical Centre down into the garden to our "big" tank. This will allow excess rainwater from the Med Centre's Rainwater Tank to be used for growing our garden. This is happening soon! The old Strawberry bed has been cleared and has had some topsoil added. This now has a topping of horse manure which will be left to rot down so that in a co...uple of months new strawberry runners can be planted. Due to lack of participation the Twilight Tuesday Sessions have now been cancelled. However if you are keen to come up for a visit we are now gathering for Tuesday Early Bird Sessions from 8 am each week. This is a great time to be in the garden...early enough to beat the heat of the day to get the plots watered and weeded. See more
