07.01.2022 Construction of the Junee Shire 7000EP STP servicing Junee township and Junee Correctional Centre is now complete. The STP consists of inlet works for flow reception, mechanical screening, grit removal, flow division to the new IDEA reactor and existing Pasveer Channel and emergency flow Bypass. The IDEA reactor incorporates a central decanting system, surface aeration system, wet well type submersible waste activated sludge (WAS) pump and WAS rising main to transfer waste activated sludge to the sludge lagoons and associated structures. Sludge from these lagoons are processed via the 2 new sludge drying beds. 100kWp grid-connected photovoltaic power generating system was also installed for the works.
