12.01.2022 Sports is coming back in a red hot hurry..all with shortened notice and a short (and intense) season ahead. These factors along with the closure of gyms and training facilities mean many will be at a heightened risk of injury. Keep a close on our Facebook and Youtube pages for a series of videos developed to help you establish some solid training and preparation ideas to carry you into, and through the season.

11.01.2022 Getting back to activity and sports? Get started from the feet up! One of the most crucial areas of the body for almost all activities is the lower leg. With the most fundamental movement to build off being the Beautiful Calf Raise. Have a look at our short video with some great progressions - from the most basic level, all the way through to higher level sports specific movements.... No matter your age or activity level, we all need strong calves and should be able to do a decent calf raise.

08.01.2022 Calf strains are very, very common...and often under rehabilitated. We see many people who have recurrent 'strains' and calf or achilles issues that have not been rehabilitated fully. It is crucial that these injuries are rehabilitated with gradual loading and then progressed to the specific to the demands of individual. Whether you're a high level tennis player, poke around in the garden, work up and down ladders...your rehabilitation needs to ensure the injured tissue can d...eal with the demands you put it under. Here is a snippet of some calf rehabilitation exercises we recently completed with Chris, who performs quite high level sports that require a lot of 'elastic force production' - a high end task that needed to be addressed. This was just a small part of Chris' weekly rehabilitation, in which he also regular slow strength exercises, sports specific training (modified), and then these more 'elastic' sessions. As you can see, it's complex and requires a lot of one-on-one work to ensure it is tailored to you!

07.01.2022 Join Simon for another lunchtime - Resistance and Strength Exercise session. Today he went through one of his favourite exercises for improved stability and back support, along with our first rotational based movement.
