24.01.2022 PCRA Bucket Racing. The PCRA committee discussed and voted on extending the Club Championship for Buckets by 2 extra rounds. These will be at Pheasant Wood and the dates will be announced soon. There will be 3 x 15 lap races at each extra round with practise/ qualifying. Inline with the Bucket mantra of cheap racing, the entry at each of the new rounds will be around $175. Hope to see you all there!
24.01.2022 Due to the poor response from Buckets and Super Twins the Ride Day at Pheasant Wood this Sat. 16th will now be an open practise for any bike. All buckets and ST's are still welcome as well as any of the p3,p4,p5, 250 production and 400 riders. Cost is still $175 and groups will be divided on speed. Ring Scott on 0428743847
21.01.2022 Ladies and gents, all PCRA 2021 events will be run as Open Meetings. This will enable anyone to enter without being a PCRA member. However to be eligible for Club Championship Points, you must be a PCRA Member. Hopefully this will draw in some of out fellow interstate competitors. Watch for further updates. Ken (President).
21.01.2022 Australian Historic Road Race Championships News today: Motorcycling Australia, in consultation with the Mount Gambier Motor Cycle Club, confirmed that the 2020 Australian Historic Road Race Championships, scheduled to be held at McNamara Park Raceway, November 12-15, will be postponed until 2021. Given the uncertainty surrounding the current COVID-19 situation and border closures, the Mount Gambier Motor Cycle Club have decided the situation is simply not viable to ask members, volunteers, and competitors to commit to this event.

16.01.2022 REFUNDS For August 29. Could you please get your refund details to the Club Secretary as soon as possible so that all refunds can be finalised.
16.01.2022 Ladies and Gents, the committee have had extensive discussions and it is with the deepest regret to announce the cancelation of our upcoming scheduled August 29th race meeting. The October 31st / November 1st meeting is also canceled in an effort to inform everyone as soon as possible. The Committee are already thinking about 2021 and attempting to run considerably more events. Under the current conditions it was agreed planning any event has high levels of uncertainty and w...e also have a duty of care and responsibility as a club to minimise any risk and abide by any COVID-19 restrictions and recommendations. Late addition: Competitors will be fully refunded. The PCRA will absorb ridernet fees etc. Ken Lindsay President.
16.01.2022 Please make sure your bike meets the rules for the August 29 meeting. Your bike must be lock wired correctly. It must have engine protection fitted correctly, and it must have a catch tray/ belly pan with bungs. The rules are available in the MOMs for p6 and lower and premodern is available on the PCRA website.
15.01.2022 I had to drop the p3,4,5 group from the ride day at Pheasant Wood on 16 January due to lack of interest. But I will try again. You all need to talk to one another so that we get the numbers if you want this to happen. When I get enough pm's saying that "you will definitely be there" then I will organise it. I can't do it with "Possibly or Maybe"
14.01.2022 Today is the last day for submissions on the new rule changes at MA. I urge you all to submit your responses today. There is a strong chance that the p6 250cc class will become a GP class only, and this will result in this class disappearing completely. If you ride a p6 250 gp bike you need to submit a response as numbers will dictate a promoters intent and you will have nowhere to race your bike. Even at our club rounds we will have to adhere to the new rules according to MA, so get of your arses before its is too late!

13.01.2022 Ladies and Gents, Wednesday evening the 30th of September. Rod Muir, Ken and Keo Watson and myself attended Sydney Motorsport Parks presentation announcing the Turning on of the Lights. There have been 119 poles with lights installed plus other infrastructure to accomodate cameras all round the circuit. This can certainly extent the hours of usage obviously as there will be light but also opens up the track licensing hours. There is the possibility of hiring a block from 6.00pm to 10pm but also extending from the usual 5.00pm for an hour or two depending on availability and our needs. Also circuit opening times may change to 8.30am with the possibility of even an 8.00am start. Obviously there are costs involved plus other considerations but it gives us options and some flexibility. Ken Lindsay President.
10.01.2022 Good Morning, here is our proposed 2021 calendar February 13th - Wakefield Park March 19th - 21st SMSP GP Circuit - Festival of Speed May 29th - SMSP GP Circuit... July 4th - SMSP North Circuit August 7th - SMSP GP Circuit September 19th - SMSP South Circuit October 9th & 10th - Wakefield Park Below is an idea I am proposing and will be discussed by the Committee All bikes, small and large capacity machines plus Sidecars compete at SMSP GP circuit and Wakefield Park events Large capacity machines compete at SMSP North Circuit Small capacity machines compete at SMSP South Circuit Sidecars to be determine by what they would like. This would enable more racing for all during these days and open to a bit more variety. The North and South circuits are obviously cheaper than the GP circuit which can very well make the split viable. (Race format and capacity split yet to be determined) This is just an idea at this point and open for discussion. It’s more than likely we are going to have more competitors this year and I don’t want to see anyone miss out on any racing due to race fields being over subscribed, so just looking at all options. Ken Lindsay President
10.01.2022 The PCRA ride day at Pheasant Wood on 16 January for Sidecars and Buckets is definitely on . Sidecar entries are limited to 10 and Buckets to 15, so you need to enter early. the cut off is Jan 1. Ring Scott to book on 0428743847 their should be about 7 x 15 min. sessions. Cost is $175
08.01.2022 The 2020 PCRA AGM was conducted yesterday and there have been a few changes to your committee. Executive consists of: President - Ken Lindsay, Vice President - Eddie Poucher, Secretary - Warren Reynolds, Treasurer - Bronson Poucher and the 3 ordinarymembers are Marcus de Caux, Kerrie Taylor and Ken Watson. There were also a large percentage of volunteer positions filled but there are various key positions still vacant. These positions are vital in the smooth running of our club and race meetings. There will be an announcement of filled positions and an update of these vacancies on the next few days. We have a big year planned for 2021 and will be needing some more of the membership to give a small but necessary helping hand. Here’s to a great 2021 racing season. Ken L - President.
07.01.2022 Hopefully by now you would all be aware Rd 2 of the PCRA Club Championships is being held at Sydney Motorsport Park GP circuit on the 29th of August. This meeting is going to be run under unusually difficult circumstances. The team have been working hard in the background to ensure the event runs as efficiently and COVID-19 safe for all competitors, marshals and officials. This will be very different to a normal event and we request all our competitors have patience and com...ply with all our requirements. This is your event and we want everyone to enjoy it to the fullest capacity possible, meaning having a good attitude and respect to all others. There will be different requirements with gate entry, scrutineering, briefings etc. More details will be announced ASAP and with any final instructions and briefings. We thank everyone in advance to take extra care preparing bikes as thoroughly as possible and make sure your bikes comply with all requirements. There is also the possibility the meeting could be cancelled due to government restrictions but we are hopeful all will go ahead as planned. Good luck and stay safe. See more
07.01.2022 We spoke with Pheasant Wood today about the possibility of running a ride day specifically for Periods 3, 4 and 5 only. They agreed to the idea, but the success relies on numbers. This is not a time for "I might go" or "if I'm not busy". We need definite commitment. So please post your name up here if you WILL come, and I will organise a date and try to make it compatible for as many as possible. The track is probably best suited to bikes under 500cc. Date is now 16 January 2021. Cost is $175 with Ambulance and Live timing. It won't run unless we get the numbers and support from the P4 and P5 riders.

06.01.2022 Ladies and Gents. This Wednesday evening, September 30th, ARDC have extended an invite for two of our commmittee to attend a function at Sydney Motorsport Park called Turn On The Lights Yes they have installed light all around the circuit in the interest of holding night events. Myself and Vice President Rod Muir will be in attendance plus two nominated riders to complete a couple of laps under lights to assist ARDC to conduct an assessment. This could work out to open up some options with our racing for the future. Shall give you an update after Wednesday evening. Ken.
06.01.2022 Ladies and Gents. With new Covid-19 restrictions introduced today this more than likely will have impact running our scheduled race meeting at SMSP on August 29th. The Committee will be convening tomorrow night and in consultation with MNSW and ARDC advise ASAP of our situation.
05.01.2022 This ride day will have sessions for Buckets and Sidecars. Pheasant Wood are also running sessions for Super twins ( and they will allow p6 and Pre modern 400's in this group also), and also Motards ( as they have a round of their Motard Championship the following day).
04.01.2022 There's a proposed new race meeting in NSW in 2021. It takes the place of the old Wakefield Park Historic Car and Bike meet, now finding a new home at the Pheas...ant Wood Circuit. Follow this link to their newsletter and have a think about supporting this event. https://pheasantwood.com.au///Pheasant-Wood-Newsletter.pdf Cheers, Marchy.
04.01.2022 Hello All. Yes I know we should have been racing today and enjoying the competition, each other’s company and the beautiful weather. Our AGM is coming up, September 27th and the new committee can commence working on next year. In the mean time, there’s a lot to look at in this picture of probably the best period 5 racer in the world (IMO). The beautiful Vince & Hyde 200HP Honda CB.

01.01.2022 Hello Ladies and Gents, just an update. Due to the cancellation of most of our racing this year, the PCRA Committee have made the decision there will be no Club Championship this year and there will be no Presentation night celebrations. The committee have had discussing regarding the 2021 racing season and we have the intention to hold more events in 2021. We are also looking at refining the current format. With any luck conditions will improve and hope we can all enjoy a return to racing in the near future. Ken. President.
