25.01.2022 PCYC Bowen Skating will be on again this Friday, 18th September from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. If you are considering attending this Friday night please read the below points to ensure we comply to our Covid Safe Plan and keep our members, volunteers and staff safe. 1. Please ensure you complete the Covid Data Tracking Form as this form will need to be completed by all attendees before entry to this event will be allowed.... 2. We will have prepackaged canteen stock, confectionery and cold drink for sale through the canteen. Purchases will be CASH ONLY. 3. Hand sanitizer is to be used on the way into the skate rink grounds and we will be encouraging participants to be reapplying throughout the night. 4. Cleaning will take place periodically throughout the night. 5. Skaters must bring and wear their own socks. If you have any queries please call the office on 4786 1383. Tourism Whitsundays, in partnership with Mackay Tourism and Bowen Tourism and Business, have released their new Visitor Information Centre Passports. In celebration of the release of the passports, The Whitsundays and Mackay have $3,000 worth of holiday vouchers up for grabs. The Visitor Information Passport is a small leaflet that includes information about the regions. Through the passport, travellers collect stamps from each of the three accredited Information Centres in Proserpine, Sarina and Bowen for a chance to go into the draw of winning holiday dollars. 17.01.2022 The Gymnastic awards for the last few weeks were ... (drum roll please) ..... Catelynn received her award for always trying hard and being kind. Bailey received her award for persisting and being brave!... Charlee received her award for listening to feedback and nailing moves! Coen received his award for working hard on his listening and great helping! Franki received her award for an outstanding effort and dedication to gymnastics. Working hard at home every day to gain the strength needed to improve her grip. Franki also requested for Charlee to be in her photo as Charlee has been a huge cheerleader for her! Congratulations to all our winners over the last couple of weeks, everybody is doing a great job!

10.01.2022 PCYC Bowen is raising awareness of safe driving during this Queensland Road Safety Week, from 24-28 August 2020. Road safety is everyones responsibility, and this Road Safety Week PCYC Bowen, Queensland Police Service, the Department of Transport and Main Roads and Abbot Point Operations are working in partnership to raise awareness of safe driving through several initiatives this week. Sgt. Michelle ORegan, Braking the Cycle Coordinator Summah Clement and Community Develop...ment Office Rachel Miller could be found at the Mt Gordon Rest Stop this morning handing out coffees, teas and goodie bags to travelers who were stopped. Merinda State School students also received a visit to talk about Road Safety especially crossing roads and bike safety. Thankyou to Division 4 Councillor Michelle Wright for supporting PCYC Bowen today with both of these initiatives. Keep an eye out for the PCYC crew over the coming days who will be out and about continuing to promote the importance of Road Safety and keeping our Community Safe.

06.01.2022 If you are looking for something new & different to try why not give Kyokushin Karate a try. Bowen PCYC offers lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5pm for ages 7yrs and up under the watchful eye of Sempai Brenton. These classes cost $5 for juniors and $7 for adults. 05.01.2022 PCYC Bowen SK8 Night is on Tonight!!!! Please remember that all children under the age of 12 need to have a responsible adult present with them throughout the duration of the event. Children 12 years or older will need to provide emergency contact details on entry and be collected by an adult at the end of the event, we can not let skating attendees leave at 8:30pm on their own.
