21.01.2022 THE ACADEMY OF AIKIDO We are hosting a workshop at Subiaco PCYC on Sunday 29 April, 1-4.30 pm with a break for afternoon tea, followed by a BBQ at the end of the workshop. Aikido ai (harmony), ki (energy), kokyu (breath) Aikido encompasses the fundamentals of kuzushi (unbalancing), seika-no-itten irimi (entering), one point tsukuri (positioning), and tenkan (turning). The premise in Aikido is to neutralize an attack to effectively control the attacker's movement. Throwing techniques are used to subdue the attacker. 04.01.2022 We are very happy to announce that we have a date when we are open for training! We will recommence on Tuesday 30 June at 7 pm at Subiaco PCYC. You will need to bring a full length towel, your filled water bottle and your own hand sanitiser so we can abide by COVID-19 requirements.
