25.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone :) Due to circumstances outside of our control, we have not been able to hold a Blue Star camp throughout 2020, so we are using this opportunity to review and improve our current Blue Star programs. Over the coming weeks, I will be seeking your feedback on your Blue Star experience. This will be done through a survey (which will be either posted here and/or emailed to participants directly) and through a number of "poll questions' on facebook.... If I may ask you to participate when you see these questions pop up that would be absolutely awesome! Your feedback is essential in making our Blue Star programs the best that they can be!! Further information will be posted in the coming weeks. In the meantime, be safe and kind to one another :)
24.01.2022 PCYC Digital Connections Survey Hello! Please help us to help our communities by sharing your thoughts on digital access. This survey is going to all PCYC NSW members and is completely anonymous, (if you respond online, we do not even collect your IP address). By participating in this survey you will help us improve our services.... We intend to use the responses from this survey to determine the digital needs of our local communities, and develop ways to improve access in our clubs to the digital technologies that all communities require and deserve. Our goal is to increase access to digital services that support our members to work, learn and play in all our clubs across the state. To participate in this survey, please click on the link below: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Digital_Social_2020

23.01.2022 Today we release our Annual Report. This report outlines another great year for PCYC NSW and we are very proud to show you the hard work that went into delivering the educational, multicultural, vocational, sport, recreation, social justice and crime prevention programs and activities across 64 clubs. During the year, we changed the lives of thousands of young people and marked the first anniversary of the NSW Police Commissioner's RISEUP strategy. Providing opportunities ...for young people to flourish has resulted in significant reductions in youth crime and anti-social behaviour across the state. We hope you will enjoy this report and be part of Team PCYC in the future as we work towards another year of encouraging and developing young people across NSW to reach their potential. 22.01.2022 Thank you to all members of NSW Police Force and all of our front-line health and emergency services workers who are doing an amazing job supporting the community and keeping us all safe during the COVID-19 crisis. At PCYC NSW we see firsthand how closely police officers work with young people who need support and guidance and during these uncertain times we especially appreciate their support and hard work. Thats why our CEO, Dominic Teakle, decided to give his thumbs-up to... the NSW Police and our front-line workers! 22.01.2022 We know it can be lonely and boring when you cant see your friends or go outside or to a club to exercise. If you are feeling lonely make sure you talk to friends and family on the phone, or via programs like Zoom, often. Also do some exercise such as dancing to your favourite music - when you get the chance. Remember to treat yourself with kindness and respect and have confidence that things will get better.... There are lots of people you can talk to if you are feeling sad or anxious here are just a few: Kids Helpline - 1800 55 1800 Lifeline Australia 13 11 14 Beyond Blue - 1300 22 4636 #PCYCDailyConnect #mentalhealth #staystrong #empoweringyoungpeople

11.01.2022 This R U Ok? Day remember it's important to continue the conversation. You dont have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says theyre not OK. You can help someone feel supported and helped long before theyre in crisis. That's how we can all make a positive difference to the lives of Australians who are struggling. Today we ask if you are OK and urge you to talk to someone and find help if the answer is 'no'. ...
