20.01.2022 PCYC NSW wants to hear from young people across the state to get a picture of how we can help you to not only survive, but to thrive. Your input will help form our Youth Strategy over the next three years. This strategy needs to be led by you, so we need to find out what what young people think and feel about a range of issues such as body image, the importance of sport and fitness, how the corona virus has affected you, and your thoughts on social media. This survey will ta...ke you 2-3 minutes to complete. That small time investment could have a lasting impact on the services PCYC is able to provide to young people across NSW. Please have your say! 15.01.2022 School has ended for another year and young people now face a 15.6% youth unemployment rate*. We don't need to tell you that times are hard. The Covid crisis and increase in youth unemployment means PCYC NSW needs to help young people more than ever. Recently we shared Harrison and Kirsty’s stories. They show how your generous donations as a supporter of PCYC can help turn around young lives. We know our Fit for Work program, run in partnership with NSW Police, makes a real... and practical difference. With your help, Fit For Work can continue to help young people who need direction, skills and mentoring now. Please invest in the future of our youth, because together we can help our young people survive and thrive. Thank you for supporting PCYC NSW and for making a difference. Have a safe and happy holidays. https://www.pcycnswdonate.charity/xmas *( , 2020) #charity #supportPCYCNSW #thankyou #unemployment #FitForWork

15.01.2022 Today we release our Annual Report. This report outlines another great year for PCYC NSW and we are very proud to show you the hard work that went into delivering the educational, multicultural, vocational, sport, recreation, social justice and crime prevention programs and activities across 64 clubs. During the year, we changed the lives of thousands of young people and marked the first anniversary of the NSW Police Commissioner's RISEUP strategy. Providing opportunities ...for young people to flourish has resulted in significant reductions in youth crime and anti-social behaviour across the state. We hope you will enjoy this report and be part of Team PCYC in the future as we work towards another year of encouraging and developing young people across NSW to reach their potential. 05.01.2022 This R U Ok? Day remember it's important to continue the conversation. You don’t have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK. You can help someone feel supported and helped long before they’re in crisis. That's how we can all make a positive difference to the lives of Australians who are struggling. Today we ask if you are OK and urge you to talk to someone and find help if the answer is 'no'. ... 04.01.2022 The way we feel about ourselves, our world and our future is so much at the front of conversations at the moment. At PCYC NSW we encourage you to check in with yourself, your friends and your family, to find out how you are feeling about life right now. National Mental Health Month October is a great reminder to reflect and be present this month and every month. If when you check in you find that you need help, please reach out to someone who can help you build self-awareness..., make effective choices, reduce the impact of worry, and build positive connections. Its not a sign of weakness - we all need support and to have a safe place to talk.
