19.01.2022 Sylvia grew up in a small indigenous community and was exposed first hand to the impact that drugs and alcohol can have. I looked at how alcohol has affected my family I said I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to be like that. An alcoholic or a smoker. Sylvia desperately wanted to create a life for herself that did not involve substance abuse.... Sylvia found PCYC Queensland through a free fitness program for women, and became keen to encourage others to take part has worked to be a positive role model for young women in the community. Hear of how PCYC Queensland has helped Sylvia change her story. Will you support us to help at risk, vulnerable, disadvantaged people and their families to stay connected, healthy and safe?

13.01.2022 Support vulnerable and at-risk young people this festive season. Vulnerable and at-risk young Queenslander’s are even more disadvantaged as a result of the global pandemic. This festive season we need your support to continue providing mentoring, essential programs and a safe environment to more than 50,000 young people each year. Disengaged, suffering fr...om low self-esteem and mental health issues, and struggling to interact socially even with her peers, Angel’s future was extremely uncertain. PCYC Queensland continues to support Angel and her dream, and she has recently completed work experience for her certificate in one of PCYC Queensland’s 100+ Outside School Hours Care services.
