24.01.2022 Join our Team as we Jump to helping Youth Mental Health!! Money raised will fund a pilot mental health program based on activity, nutrition and building resilience for young people. Critically, young people around the state have been extensively consulted and involved in co-design of the program with PCYC subject matter experts. PCYC’s 65 clubs around New South Wales reach 100,000 young people face to face. As an organisation that proudly represents the community we serve, t...his early intervention and prevention initiative will address the issues of those experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges to build individual and community resilience. The new program pilot GRIT (Growth-mindset Resilience Intervention for Teenagers) will build mental resilience skills, interlinked with good nutrition and physical exercise practices. It complements the NSW Police Commissioner’s Rise Up strategy to reconnect disengaged young people to family, education, culture, employment and community. The success of the program depends entirely on the support of people like you and your networks, for the benefit of youth mental health in your community. We are all personally committed to doing the Star Jump Challenge for youth mental health. We encourage you to do the same. Do the challenge yourself, with family or your sports team. Thank you for all your support. https://www.starjumpchallenge.org.au/fu/theyoungstarjumpers

21.01.2022 Today we release our Annual Report. This report outlines another great year for PCYC NSW and we are very proud to show you the hard work that went into delivering the educational, multicultural, vocational, sport, recreation, social justice and crime prevention programs and activities across 64 clubs. During the year, we changed the lives of thousands of young people and marked the first anniversary of the NSW Police Commissioner's RISEUP strategy. Providing opportunities ...for young people to flourish has resulted in significant reductions in youth crime and anti-social behaviour across the state. We hope you will enjoy this report and be part of Team PCYC in the future as we work towards another year of encouraging and developing young people across NSW to reach their potential.
