25.01.2022 What about if we let the year 2020 bring us back to what it really means to get married? What if we used this crazy time to just readjust, refocus? We could rebuild the whole event. We could have a day filled with only our inner circles, with the plushest of velvet couches, the finest cocktails and incredible documentary of the day that we could later share with the world.... It could allow us to break free of trends and ‘must haves’ and instead give us the permission to get married in a hot pink dress, during a champagne breakfast on a Wednesday. In an intimate ceremony that kick started our married life in the most fitting and personalised way. We could remember that the day is actually not about what shade of blush the roses are, or how many cousins you can squeeze into your venue to keep the family happy. It’s about getting married. 24.01.2022 Ok. First up. I haven’t lost my mind and become a food blogger But it’s Friday, and in our house Friday night = pizza night. Every time I make this dough it’s a winner and people have asked me for the recipe so here we go. I make this dough each week and it makes roughly 4 pizzas. I like to top it with a hidden veg sauce to get more veggies in, and then I don’t guilty about loading them up with 3 types of cheese #cheeseislife 1.5 cups warm water Pinch of sugar 7g sachet... of dried yeast *Mix these and wait for the yeast to bloom 4 cups of plain flour 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup olive oil *Mix together and then add the water/yeast mix. Mix with a knife and then bring together with your hands. Knead for 10 minutes, put back in the bowl and cover with a tea towel and leave it somewhere warm to double in size. You’re welcome! 23.01.2022 Willie + Amanda During the madness that was my big 6-couple weekend, I got to go for a big drive, escape the December hustle and stand on this ridge with Amanda and Willie and get them married. There was just 9 of us, plus their 3 dogs, and their ceremony went for 5 minutes. Just the bare minimum for words and loved ones and it was perfect. That’s 21 weeks that I haven’t had my oh-my-gosh-you-two-are-totally-getting-hitched-right-now nose scrunching, whole-face smile going on. 23.01.2022 Oh hey There’s a few newbies checking out what I’m up to so I thought I’d give you all some Iso-reading! 10 things about me: When I was 18 I lived and worked in Italy for 6 months as a nanny. While it was seriously challenging, I’m glad I was blissfully naive enough to do it then! I HATE wet socks. Even if I step on a drop of water on the floor. Yet I have little patience for my 3 year old being the same and changing her socks 5 times a day. I don’t drink tea or coffee..., just hot water or hot chocolates. I love studying and learning. I’m currently on my third course in 7 years. I get bored quite quickly and love a new project and a work life that keeps life interesting. When I smile I scrunch my nose, and many a little babe has learnt that from having my smiling face in theirs all the time. My bestie had her daughter on my birthday and my little Honey is born two days later. I’m surrounded by Gemini girls and I love it! I didn’t realise how much of a feminist I was completely until I had two girls of my own and started to see the world through another fresh set of eyes. Isolation has taught me that I’m probably more of an introvert than I realised, (I thought I was 100/0 extrovert), but still get my buzz from being up the front of big crowd of people By the end of the year I will have started a second business, after qualifying with @bycacademy. 23.01.2022 My non negotiable self care - M A S S A G E With fibromyalgia, a condition triggered by stress in the form of muscle and joint pain, spasms and inflammation (among all kinds of other bullshit ) I know I need to keep on top of my self care to make sure I can function well and take on all the fun things I like to fill my life with. Sometimes I get slack - like in the middle of a pandemic - and I suffer, so it’s back to fortnightly appointments.... But we shouldn’t need a health condition, or mental ill-health to take us to get to this point of looking after ourselves. What if we looked after ourselves because no one else will? Because life sucks when we’re stressed or tired or feel crappy? What if we did it just because we loved ourselves enough to just do it? What’s your non negotiable self care? 17.01.2022 Karlie + Izaac Look at these two will you?! And the best bit? They are just as beautiful inside. Yesterday we played the will it, won’t it game with the weather at @mewburnpark as we waited for the ceremony to kick off, but in the end we got the sunshine we were praying for!... I had to think about what I was having for dinner while Karlie walked down the aisle to distract myself, a crying groom always gets me and Izaac had almost started before she even arrived, and then as soon as their eyes locked Karlie started too. Was probably my favourite part of the whole day! The best thing these two did was hire @djnige_ for the whole day which meant he had the ultimate tunes cranked as guests arrived and took care of all the ceremony music. Big tick every time Congratulations lovers, was such a joy to get you hitched!

17.01.2022 Happiest first birthday to our gorgeous Norah. It’s been our favourite thing to fall in love with you this year, and I think it’s safe to say we’re fairly obsessed with you. I say gently because of got an amazing NYE wedding, I’m coaching again at the beginning of Jan and I’ve got websites and projects I’m dabbling with. BUT, I’m so ready to put my feet up for a bit, read some EPIC books, eat too much, laugh hard and love hard. 16.01.2022 Last night my girl gang got together to pack our bags for @sharethedignityaustralia Christmas campaign ‘It’s in the Bag’. It’s the 4th year we’ve done it and it’s honestly my favourite time of year with my favourite people. Bags are packed with essentials for women who are homeless or fleeing situations like domestic violence. It’s just such a beautiful but easy thing to do for the sisterhood, and I have to say, each year we’re getting better and better at it. Next year we’re planning a big one - maybe we could break our record of 15 bags?! Thanks to everyone who contributed this year

14.01.2022 Today’s new lockdown project was to get this babe riding her first big girl bike. Before she’d even tired it she told us it would be fun because she’s so great at it. And while doing a fairly basic first attempt, with a couple of pedals with feet on (I was pushing), she declared, See! I told you I was so good at this! I’m doing a great job Mum aren’t I?... What if we all backed ourselves like she does? She doesn’t always get it right, but she chooses to focus on the times she does a good job, and they’re the times she remembers. She’s kind to herself, and the best bit, is she’s her own biggest hype girl #beyourownhypegirl

12.01.2022 Bare with me while I get all my thoughts down here about this woman. For those of you that don’t know, this is @emmaisaacs. Founder of @businesschicks, author, mother of 6 including a girl called Honey, lover of pink, total cheerleader for women. Her business brings women together and holds the most incredible inspiring events. She’s an Aussie, now based in the US and is the most thoughtful, humble person. We messaged a couple of messaged back and forth when I read her book W...inging It and realised she too had a Honey. She gave me a hug (remember those?!) after she complimented me on my skirt just before she was about to get on stage in front of 100s of women. She’s my hero. And I don’t use that word lightly. I often think, What would Emma do?. In a recent interview with the epically gorgeous @hello_azureantoinette Emma said, Hope is not the strategy. And I’m tucking that one away forever. I’m hopeful, I have hope, but you best believe I’m hustling away to make my dreams a reality and not leaving it to chance. Emma’s book has just been published in the US - after 47 publishers said no (even though she’d published the book in AUS first ) and I feel we should all support Emma the same way she supports all of us. Buy a copy, one for an American friend, or the Aussie copy for yourself. You’ll love it

10.01.2022 One year ago today I took to my social media to let all you dreamers know that my Kickstarter was now live, and that I had launched the Daydreamer Deck. What came next was one of the most surreal but exciting months I’ve had. I was beside myself with nerves that we wouldn’t hit the target of $5K, so much so I wanted to pull out or change it to $2K a couple of days before. We hit the target in 4 days. By the end we would have pledges and backers from all over the world. People... would stop me when I was out to say they couldn’t stop watching the campaign for excitement of how it was going. By the last day we clocked a little over $10,000 in pledges. The love I felt from so many people believing in me was just enormous. I couldn’t believe it. We went on to print a second run, create gorgeous notebooks and now she sits in my office, just 8 decks left, waiting for their forever homes. I’ll never forget this crazy time, and the support you all gave me. Thank you a hundred times over See more

02.01.2022 This year has been a big lesson for me in how a creative’s mind works. We’ve got to keep that thing ticking over before it self destructs. This year I planned to study and start another business. Lockdown allowed me the space to do that. *Along with a truck load of anxiety, uncertainty and stress* So now I’m what is known is a multifaceted entrepreneur, or a multi passionate person. Or put simply, I’m what @miafreedman calls a slashy. I’m a Marriage Celebrant/MC/Life Coa...ch/Creator. So that’s what you’ll be seeing around here. Heaps of positive stuff about people, love, mindset, self love and chasing dreams. And yes, I’ll throw in my girls in every now and again for cuteness factor !
