25.01.2022 This coming Sunday the message is on The Grace of God based on Isaiah 57:14-21.

24.01.2022 Here is what Pastor Herrgott said in this week's email: First Corinthians 1:3-4 says, Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus. As I said last Sunday, we cannot merit God’s favour, but we receive God’s grace and from this blessing of God’s grace, we live as Christians. You can hear the morning sermon on this link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNWHEQkWg1o

09.01.2022 Here is a very encouraging and challenging article for you. CELEBRATING EXTRA YEARS By Pastor Robert Herrgott... We give thanks to God for the gift of extra years in the 21st century with Cath celebrating her 90th birthday and recently Harriet celebrated her 80th birthday. We also rejoice with Neil and Glenda on their 50th wedding anniversary and coming up Steve and Pam will also celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. During 1881-1890, the average life expectancy of a newborn boy was 47.2 years and that of a newborn girl 50.8 years. By 2007-2009, average life expectancy had risen to 79.3 years for newborn boys and 83.9 years for newborn girls. Why has this happened? Medical advancement has made oops wrong starting point. God has endowed humans with gifts that have enabled us to advance in medicine, which in turn, have increased the average life expectancy. How important is that change of emphasis? Extremely important! In 2020, Australians faced the Covid-19 pandemic and with a fair dose of fear, all locked down until we felt safe again. Before this event, we had just experienced the disastrous destruction of 12 million hectares of bushlands from raging bushfires. Everyone senses their mortality yet again. Medical advancements have only given us a thirty-year extension of old age, but such technology has done nothing for our souls. What good is it to gain the whole world and forfeit your soul? Over this year, I have preached on Trusting God and now Knowing God so that we will not be overwhelmed with fear or grief at our present times, but sustained with joy, peace and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our church exists in this community to convey a message that is more important than the government’s latest COVIDsafe update or the university’s technological breakthrough announcement. We declare God’s free offer of the Gospel. Isaiah 55:1 says: Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk it’s all free! We give this message first priority because it concerns eternity, that is, life everlasting. This free gift of God comes through Jesus the Saviour who said: Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest and I am the bread of life, no one who comes to me will ever be hungry and the water I give is like a flowing foundation that gives eternal life. Jesus promises all those who come to him these three things: (1) The forgiveness of all your wrongs. (2) The presence of the Holy Spirit to help you every day. (3) The guarantee of everlasting life. What action are we going to take this Summer to declare this most important news? For a start, maybe we can bring someone to our Christmas Op-Shop or Christmas Day service. God has given us extra years let us use them to serve him in gladness.
