08.01.2022 I though some of you might be interested to see a silk scarf made out of my peaceful silkworm cocoons. The silkworms were allowed to hatch, then the cocoons de-gummed (recipe on my website at Peaceful Silkworms Australia), the silk was then dyed, spun, and finally crocheted. It looks quite different from silk that has been reeled off the cocoon in one long thread, and although it is not as fine as reeled silk, it is very soft to wear and has a lovely natural shine.
