17.01.2022 RUGBY WRAP UP On Friday, Peace rugby teams competed in the Rugby 7s tournament with grit and determination, always displaying the spirit of sportsmanship. Both ...our girls and boys teams had great success on the day. Our girls won 22-0 against Woree SHS, our boys won 28-4 against Redlynch State College and 36-4 against Trinity Bay SHS. Overall, our girls came in 2nd in the tournament, as did our boys. A truly wonderful result, with every player giving 100% of themselves on the field. 15.01.2022 WATER IS SACRED This is the central theme of the 2020 Cairns Indigenous Art Fair's fashion show, which this year will be broadcast as a virtual event. Rehearsals are currently underway and Peace Lutheran College students, Kyle and Kenny, both from Pormpuraaw, were invited by the organisers to model the design collection from their home community. Such a proud and honourable moment for the boys and all of us at Peace who support them.... The 90-minute fashion showcase, featuring the work of seven designers, can be viewed on Cairns Indigenous Art Fair channels from 7:00 pm on Friday the 21st of August.
