23.01.2022 Is your Termite monitoring and Baiting system to Expensive. Check out this alternative. If you have a termite monitoring and baiting system in place it will be costing you around $1100 a year to maintain and have a pest tech in your yard at least 5 times a year. What if I told you that you can get your annual cost down to as little as $210 a year (annual Inspection cost). How you ask? Sentricon the original manufacturers of termite monitoring and baiting systems have now intr...oduced an Always Active Rod (AAR). This rod replaces the timber interceptors in your station whether it be Exterra, Nemisis or other brands. This AAR is made of reconstituted timber with the bait already in the rod. Your standard system requires annual inspection replacement of timbers and at least 5 site visits to checks for termite activity during the year and start a monthly baiting program if termites are present (more cost). Sentricon Always Active Rods (AAR) replace the timber interceptors. Year one you have your annual termite inspection and add the AAR to each station this will cost you a little more that your normal annual system cost. Years 2-5 unless the AAR has been consumed by termites your annual cost is $210 for your termite inspection. These rods are designed to last for more than 5 years in the station. Have enough control agent in each rod to eliminate a termite colony. Only need to be checked 6 or 12 intervals to see that the rods have not been consumed. Most customers are happy now to check the stations themselves as the only expertise they need is to see that the rod is still in the station. Always Active Rod (AAR) have a replacement cost of $75, multiply that by the number of stations around your home plus your annual inspection cost and you have worked out your year one cost. 22.01.2022 This home has unwanted guests. Coptotermes Species of termites have been invited into this home due to blocked gutters causing water to enter wall cavity. This has caused mould and fungal decay in the wall which has attracted termite activity. The solution to this problem starts by driling into the damaged timbers and injecting a termiticed foaming agent (Termidor) into the areas were termites are active. Over the next month termies comming into contact with the foam of trea...ted surfaces will transfer the control agent to all other termites they meet. In one months time we will reinspect the home and find areas were termites have clumped together and perished.
