16.01.2022 Lets talk about bargains and IPL. Basically the two do not go together. In the last 18 months there has been a rise in IPL clinics and franchises opening in WA.... In conjunction with Scoopons, Groupons and other sites of the like, this has forced us to become competitive with their prices. This is a bonus for customers though! YAY While we are now competing with these businesses for bookings, we are in no way competing with them in any other manner. Hairfree staff are all meticulously trained with the sufficient certificates and experience in IPL, not to mention customer service and a complete dedication to their clients. We spend time with our clients during consultations, We go through their medical history, we build rapport, we know what they did on the weekend. This is what sets us apart. We are not a 'chop shop'. Regularly I have clients come in saying they have had ipl elsewhere cheaper, either in clinics or from above mentioned vouchers and they aren't happy with the result. Let me say this .... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. We have had staff go into these other franchises that are our direct 'competition' just to see what they were like. A little bit of business research if you will. Our staff were shocked. While the reception and rooms were lovely and clean, kitted out with ipads and very professional looking, the staff seemed to have little idea as to what they were talking about. No consult, straight in the room and on the bed. When asked how the technology worked the technician at one clinic had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. If our staff member wasn't fully educated on the subject and a regular client she would have just gone with it. Thinking, 'all these technical terms, she obviously knows what shes talking about'. This obviously infuriates us, but what really upsets me is when we get people contacting us like this lady! She had one session two days ago at a popular franchise in perth and within hours was covered in blisters! She now is so swollen and sore and the clinic has simply said 'Im sorry you've had this reaction'. This is a burn. Not a reaction. NO Consult. NO Form signed. NO Medical History or Medication check. Unfortunately this lady has learnt the hard way when it comes to pricing and deals. Please don't be her. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Scarborough Hairfree xx
