This week our 9 Para Sqn family had tragic news of a friend lost to SUICIDE... a great bloke, a legend and a good man So what can we do...how do we help....LET’S TALK... we’re always busy working on our physical fitness ESSENTIAL for BOXING .... but our MENTAL FITNESS needs just as much ATTENTION and it can be HARD WORK! Living with MENTAL HEALTH challenges can be very stre...ssful and hard to talk about, particularly for men! In the past, to admit you are STRUGGLING or to ASK for NEED HELP was seen by some as a sign of weakness... but in order to STOP SUICIDE we must change the narrative and this stigma culturally.....WE MUST TALK ABOUT SUICIDE in order to PREVENT IT!!! The reality is to accept when we are vulnerable or fragile and knowing that WE NEED HELP... it takes enormous STRENGTH & COURAGE and there is NO SHAME in getting PROFESSIONAL Advice and Mental Health SUPPORT Your Coaches are here not just to beast you in the Boxing Club but to listen and support you in other challenges you may face Coach Jason himself has PTSD, Depression and Anxiety and is working EVERYDAY to stay mentally well. 03.01.2022 The Fight TEAM worked hard last night.... Tiahna rose to the occasion on her DEBUT and for the STATE TITLE!! She was strong and dominant particularly in the second round, making it hard work for her more experienced opponent. T didn’t get the decision but she certainly did her self, her family and PEAK 1 PROUD well done ... George WON his semi-final with a fast and convincing stoppage in the second round... onto the final for the State Title next weekend!!! Tom started every round in his semi-final with some beautiful boxing, with excellent timing and illusive head movement, with some dips in work rate he didn’t get the decision... but as we know every fight gives us more learnings and he can takes these onto the next time.
