19.01.2022 First 2 days with lads from across the way a good old time, putting a few fish over the side. Day 1 was spent slinging lures resulting in a mixed bag with a bit off the bottom as well as the top in a few Mackeral, GTs , Queenies and a nice spango! Day 2 today we pushed out looking for a Marlin for the boys catching a couple nice Wahoo in the morning, but unfortunately a little unlucky loosing a nice black shaking off just out of leader range. Next up was a cheeky stripe with... a cool hard bite on the pitch unfortunately the hook not finding home. Last run home seen a lazy black up, which couldnt make up his mind fading off for another day. Back out there tomorrow!!! 12.01.2022 In the past week we have had our mate April Vokey & her husband Charles over with us to try and finally catch there Marlin On Fly, both having there shots. With Dean Butler on the teaser pole it became reality on day 4 for April after some tough fishing. A stubborn fight which April took in her stride had a nice fish around 65-70 Lb Boat Side on IGFA 20lb Tippet, in hand ready to be released Alive! Unfortunately for Charles the opportunity's were there but not sticking. Next ...year mate we will get him!! 08.01.2022 Bit of an update Guys on our last 12 months of fishing for billfish. with our heavy Tackle season as most of you know ending up on 223 billfish in 81 days this included our Main target of Blue Marlin at 165, with of course our big girl at 1089Lb. This then moved into our light tackle season were the tally racked up to 139 billfish in 69 days this mostly being Black Marlin and Sails. This is also keeping in mind the days of our refit to our black watch over May-june. one of th...e Highlights for our Light tackle season was catching the as of now pending World record Black Marlin on 16lb IGFA tippet for Our Angler Jermey Block which also completed his royal Slam in under 12 months for all Species of Billfish on Fly. So In 150 days billfishing that brought the total amount of billfish to 362, this being on conventional Tackle as well as on the fly.
