24.01.2022 Looking for something easy, fun and delicious to do with the kids in this wet weather? Why not give these Blueberry Oat Muffins a go! Ingredients: 1 Mashed Banana 1 Egg... 1/4 Cup Milk 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup 1/3 Cup almond butter 1 Tbsp Vanilla essence 2 1/2 Cups Oats 1/2 Tsp Baking soda 1 Cup ( heaped ) Frozen Blueberries Method: - Mash Banana - Once mashed add to the bowl egg, milk, maple syrup, almond butter, cinnamon and Vanilla essence and mixed - Add oats and baking soda and mix - Stir In the blueberries - Divide into cupcake trays - Cook for 15 minutes on 180 degrees celsius - Enjoy! 22.01.2022 BANANA BREAD This is perfect for the school lunch box or an afternoon tea snack! INGREDIENTS 4 ripe bananas, peeled... 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg, beaten 1/3 cup butter, melted 2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt METHOD Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the sugar, egg, melted butter and vanilla extract. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet banana mixture and mix until combined. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Allow bread to cool before serving.

The wall was created for the children to be able to access some positive messages if they needed some cheering up or if they are having a bad day.

18.01.2022 Are you looking for an easy Dinner option for your little one? Or an easy Sandwich alternative for school lunchboxes? Then you need to try this delicious and nutritious Zucchini Slice! Ingredients: 6 eggs cup wholemeal plain flour... 2 large zucchinis, grated 2 large carrots, grated cup corn kernels cup peas bunch chives, chopped 50g reduced-fat cheese, grated Canola oil spray Method: Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan-forced). Beat the eggs and flour together until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients, except the cheese, to the flour and egg mixture and mix thoroughly. Lightly spray 20cm x 30cm baking dish with canola oil. Pour the mixture into the dish, and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 40 minutes or until set and golden on top. Serve hot or cold with a green garden salad. Recipe via @cancercouncil

16.01.2022 Check out our Shellharbour kids practicing an ‘Off Site Evacuation Drill’. We run Emergency Response and Evacuation Drills in weeks 3 and 8 for the duration of the week. This ensures all children are confident in knowing what they would need to do in the case of an emergency at Peak.

INGREDIENTS: 1 cup pitted dates cup raisins 1 cup quick oats... cup shredded coconut & cup for rolling cup sunflower seeds METHOD: Place the dates, raisins, oats and cup coconut into a food processor. Process until mixture lifts away from the edges of the bowl Remove from the processor and mix through the sunflower seeds. Roll into a log and slice into 12 even pieces. Shape into cookies and roll in the remaining coconut.

13.01.2022 At Peak our Centres have Covid-19 measures in place to keep our Staff, Children and Families safe. Below are some measure regarding children and Covid in our centres: Children will continue to be provided with education and encouragement on proper hand washing techniques, the importance of not touching the face and regular use of non-alcohol based sanitiser. Education around good respiratory hygiene, meaning covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue whe...n you need to cough or sneeze (dispose of any tissues immediately). Distancing can be challenging with children, but we are encouraging it by limiting large group activities, staggering afternoon tea and hand washing routines in small groups, encouraging outdoor play where possible, limited shared resources, and encouraging children to maintain personal space and to avoid close contact. Please pack your child their own drink bottle We will still continue to provide food under strict procedures and minimal handling and will be providing some packaged foods where possible Parents and Carers how can you help us? 08.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE UPDATES to April 2020 Vacation Care - COVID-19 Recently, the NSW Government have advised that distancing measures are to be put in place to limit the impact of COVID-19 in our schools and education services. ... In accordance with this advice, there have been changes made to our upcoming April Vacation Care program. These changes include the cancellation of all excursion and in service activities run by an external group. Additional costs that were applicable to these days have been removed or amended accordingly. We apologise for any disappointment that this may cause, however as always, the health and safety of the children in our care is always our greatest priority. We look forward to a fun and safe school holidays. We will continue to monitor and follow advice from our Regulatory Authority and Government departments and respond accordingly. In the event that any service closures are necessary, families will be contacted immediately and there will be no charges during forced closures. Please see important information on the Government website that applies to families that have not confirmed their income for 201819 and 201920 financial year. Confirming your income is completed by lodging a tax return OR telling Services Australia if you don't need to lodge a tax return. If families don’t confirm their income within 12 months after the end of a financial year, they’ll lose their CCS and have to pay full fees for child c...are. Families who still haven’t confirmed their income two years after a financial year ends will have to repay any CCS they received for that financial year and they will no longer be eligible for CCS.
