25.01.2022 When you get to go to work with dad.

25.01.2022 There has been lots of changes here at Peanuts over the last few months. We have been clearing unusable paddocks to make lovely oases for our animals. We also have a few new residents, so here is a little video introduction of all our sheep and goats in their new and improved paddock!

25.01.2022 Seasonal creeks quite great to look at but very damaging.

25.01.2022 Im light of national volunteer week Peanuts would like to say thank you to all who volunteer. We know first hand how important having volunteers to help us run our sanctuary is and whether you have volunteered for us or another worthy cause, we would like to thank you!!

23.01.2022 Because we need a little brightness in our lives.

23.01.2022 Update - Honey has an Abscesses and is already feeling a lot better. Taking care of your well-being means that you are able to care for others that cant look after themselves. This will seem very odd but been out in the stables cleaning up after our beautiful fur family is very relaxing and therapeutic for me. Picking up poo may not be your thing but whatever it is, try and take time out today, or this weekend. When you look after yourselves, youre stronger to look after others that cant. Poor Honey is waiting very patiently for the vet

20.01.2022 Happy Fathers day to our resident father, Billy. And to all the dads out there! You can see Daisy, his daughter and Giselle her mother behind him.

20.01.2022 With the need for cats and kittens to find loving homes always high, Peanuts have created a dedicated page for cat adoption. We have more cats to add to the page too so if you or someone you know is looking to share your home with a cat, please send them to our page. Please share to help us get the word out... https://peanutswellbeingsanctuary.org.au/cat-adoption/

20.01.2022 From Emma hurst post. LET’S END PUPPY FARMING! For Strawberry the boxer, who was left to rot from the inside out. For Sara, who was found dead in a cold, barren, concrete pen. For Lola who never knew what it was like to have a family. We unite and demand action. Be part of the protest that will end this vile cruelty. RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/133219144907688/ We can end this cruelty if we work together. My legislation is almost ready, so it’s time to sho...w Adam Marshall MP and Shelley Hancock MP that we have the full support of the NSW community and won’t tolerate puppy farming any longer. Join us, Oscar's Law, and MPs from across the political spectrum as we stand together united against puppy farming, and tell the NSW Government we demand an immediate ban. RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/133219144907688/

16.01.2022 Have a great weekend everyone

16.01.2022 Beautiful day at peanuts to chill and chat with friends.

15.01.2022 Always worth a check if there is food on offer hey guys ;) If you are lucky enough to have animals run up to you, always reward their trust with kindness and respect

13.01.2022 Acts of kindness above and beyond.

12.01.2022 Finding loving, caring and compassionate homes for homeless animals is extremely important. At Peanuts we work pretty hard to find perfect beautiful homes. It goes without saying how much pleasure we get when we get photos sent to us of them in their loving environment. You may remember the beautiful family of goats that was rescued awhile ago with Big Daddy. The Mummy was very pregnant and yesterday I received photos of the new addition to the family. They believe she is a girl but they will check as soon as mum says it’s okay . #goats #goatsofinstagram #goatkids #Compassion #donate #donationswelcome https://peanutswellbeingsanctuary.org.au/

12.01.2022 The animals have been robbed of a beautiful friend. RIP Regan. We will continue to fight your fight.

12.01.2022 Meet one of NSWs most notorious puppy farmers: Grace Bulley. Shes been found guilty of 12 charges of animal cruelty, but is still allowed to operate here in N...SW because puppy farming remains legal. Sign my petition to ban puppy farming in NSW: https://www.emmahurstmp.com/petition_end_puppy_farming Grace Bulley once publicly likened her puppy farm to a dog jail and said (when questioned about an ill dog missing an eye) that dogs dont need eyes to pump out puppies. This horrific cruelty must be stopped. Thats why I will be putting forward tough legislation to ban cruel puppy farming in NSW - but I need your voice to show Government these laws are being demanded by a huge majority. Sign the petition now and together we can end cruel puppy farming in NSW: https://www.emmahurstmp.com/petition_end_puppy_farming

11.01.2022 Nick and Eve from Supreme Master TV came to Peanuts yesterday to document our story. They make uplifting documentaries about the Vegan community. We are honored to be featured. Stay tuned for the completed video we will share it when it is ready.

10.01.2022 With summer coming up and the current heatwave, here are some tips in keeping your dogs safe and cool. Ensure all animals at your home have access to adequate shade and water. Feel free to share

10.01.2022 As Christmas comes close we know that this time can already be a difficult time for some. There is also an increase in Domestic Violence that Affects our fur family/friends. There are 55,000 to 60,000 reports of cruelty to animals each year in Australia and these are the ones we know about. It’s not only cats and dogs in domestic homes that are the victims. We come across animals in the country that have been left behind or abused due to domestic violence/family break downs.... Emma Hurst - Animal Justice Party MP | Facebook had a huge success with getting laws passed to protect animal victims of domestic violence through Parliament. This is an awesome won but we all know there is still a long way to go and Emma Hurst - Animal Justice Party MP | Facebook knows there is more to be done, for example the below, - We need laws which recognise animals as living, sentient beings instead of mere ‘property’. I support the recommendation by Domestic Violence NSW that the definition of ‘persons’ in domestic violence legislation should include animals. - The fact that animals are considered property under the law is an anomaly. Nobody considers their cat or dog as a piece of property- as nothing more than a table or chair, they are members of the family, and our legislation should reflect that. Peanuts works with many to stop the cycle of abuse but we all need to work together. I know we are always mindful and we look out but around this period keep an extra eye out and if you see cruelty, please report it. See more

10.01.2022 How nice it is to see orange coming through the trees and it not being fires. The sunset hitting our sanctuary.

08.01.2022 We know many people are struggling financially but if you can, please support your local vegan stores, they need our support to keep them open! All about Empathy have a physical store in kellyville and an online store if you arent nearby. https://www.allaboutempathy.com.au/... And Sydney Vegan Market has gone online so its easy to keep supporting all the local stalls that way. https://www.vnswmarketplace.org.au/ If you have a local vegan restaurant or cafe, show them some love by ordering takeaway, they will be feeling the strain at the moment

06.01.2022 We have been pretty busy the last week or so (apologies for the silence) but with good reason, which we will share with you soon. But we thought we would do a reminder that for you to fight the battles for compassion and kindness, to stick up for those that can’t and help break the cycle of abuse to make a bit of word for all, you need to also take care of yourself. So please make sure you put time aside for self-care so you can continue to fight for those that can’t. #selflove #compassion #breakingthecycleofabuse #yoga #sanctuary #wellbeing https://peanutswellbeingsanctuary.org.au/

05.01.2022 With a family of six extra goats under our care until we can find them a new home, the costs of desexing, vet check ups, and feeding, we could really use your help. We are trying our best to find them a home as a family unit, as we want them to stay together. But it is difficult to find someone ready to take on six goats, so they will likely be staying with us for a while. Can you help us? We know this year has been tricky for everyone, so we understand if you aren't in the... position to help, but any amount will help if you can spare even a few dollars. Sharing our post around is another way to help, and if you do know anyone willing to take in a lovely family of goats please ask them to get in contact with us. Thank you all, we couldn't do what we do without you. If you would prefer to donate directly, please email Tracey at [email protected] so we can provide you a receipt. 05.01.2022 Do you know someone who eats RSPCA-approved animal products who needs to see this? Please share and get as many people as you know to sign my petition call...ing on the NSW Government to support an Independent Office of Animal Protection - we cant expect charities to enforce animal cruelty laws. https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/ioap By chairing an Upper House committee inquiring into animal cruelty laws in NSW and tabling our recommendations, I have successfully put an Independent Office of Animal Protection on the Parliamentary agenda. Now, I need your support - we only have until December to convince the NSW Government to put my plan into action. Animals deserve a professional, empowered, resourced, and independent agency to take on the role of animal protection. The Animal Justice Party NSW and I are calling on the NSW Government to ensure animals are properly protected under law, by urging them to support our recommendation for an Independent Office of Animal Protection. Please stand with us and sign the petition to support an Independent Office of Animal Protection: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/ioap

05.01.2022 #nomeatmay day 8. Pigs. Meet Pig-Pig. Thought to be a pot bellied pig and purchased as a pet, was surrendered to Peanuts Wellbeing Sanctuary. Pig-Pig is friend...ly, loving and affectionate. He also loves gardening, growing his own lettuce and watermelon. He will wait until they are ripe enough to eat. Unfortunately, late last year Pig-Pig passed away in his sleep. We are so grateful that he was able to live a life full of love and compassion through the amazing people at Peanuts. They gave Pig-Pig an opportunity to show the world how amazing these beautiful beings can be

04.01.2022 Not all cruelty is done out of malice. Some times its because the person is left in a situation and doesnt have the intellectual capacity to know what to do. This is a story that highlights this, and how people around them that are in the position to know better have failed. This is the story of the beautiful Gracie Veira, Zahia and Dusty Our latest rescue Dusty... Found on Sunday, she was tied up on a front porch of a large property...luckily I spotted her from the road as I was driving past.... this little one sent me in guns blazing ready to take on the occupants.... With in seconds of making contact, it was clear that Dustys owner has an intulectual disability. Further conversation revealed she had little to no support and was not only incapable of looking after Dusty but didnt under stand how sick Dusty was. Dusty was rushed to the vet and put on fluids straight away So far Bloods have been taken and fluids extracted from a large tumor on her neck We are waiting on results to gain more insight into the extent of the neglect. So far all we know is that she has not been fed and has spent the majority of her time either chained up on concrete (which is evident in all her pressure wounds) and sleeping out side in a cold kennel with no bedding. Dusty is struggling to both eat and keep her food down. Our vet is doing all she can to help this little dog ( who actually should be quite big considering she is a mastif x) I know our vet bills will be huge so we HOMESAFE https://www.facebook.com/groups/HomeSafe/ will be starting a fund raiser soon In the mean time if anyone is able to help with bills feel free to contact me and Ill provide a way to pay direct to our vet... Dustys owner also has a horse and a few cats in her care which we are working on.... Will post up more details soon

03.01.2022 A huge thank you to https://www.facebook.com/groups/mkcfreecycle/

03.01.2022 Months ago we were desperate for water, now we have plenty and still falling, can handle the flooding but need the water for the coming fire season and hot weather of summer. Please stay safe and stay home.

02.01.2022 Hey, Peanuts will be setting up an adoption page for homeless cats. But until we sort this out, please meet the first beautiful fur baby that needs a loving home. Hello. My name is Midnight. I was trapped on the streets where I lived in a colony with my brothers Woody, Joaquin, Rooney and many others. I am between 4 and 6 months old. When I arrived I had cat flu but I am all better now. I was scared for a while but now I love to be carried around and cuddled. I am sti...ll a little scared of strangers however I will accept pats from them. I follow my carer around wherever she goes. I love playing with my brothers and I really love chicken. I am good with other cats and afraid of dogs but Ive only met them once. My adoption fee is $200.00 and covers desexing, microchip, flea and worm treatment. I have settled in to home living exceptionally well so dont want to be an outdoor cat anymore contact Mob: 0414273901

01.01.2022 More rain coming and our fur babies are all safe.
