22.01.2022 BOOK WEEK - Friday 4th December Dear Parents & Carers, We will be celebrating book week on Friday, 4th December.... Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character in celebration of book week. Please keep dress ups and costumes as simple as possible. No need to buy expensive dress ups as it will just be day of fun e.g. - gumboots for farmers, cricket clothes for The Kaboom Kid etc.... There will sadly be no book parade due to covid restrictions but the grades will be celebrating in other ways throughout the day. Thanks Pearcedale Primary School

05.01.2022 Our Semester 2 Reports will go live next Friday 11th December. Parents/Carers are welcome to contact the students teacher by Seesaw or Compass to arrange a time to discuss your child’s report if required. We know it is vital to involve students and their parents/carers in learning. This includes providing a written report to parents/carers on student progress and achievement at least twice a year. The Department of Education and Training has recently adjusted the expectations... around student reporting for Semester 2 in recognition of the continued disruption caused by COVID-19. While Pearcedale Primary School has continued to deliver a teaching and learning program and monitor the learning of each student, we have adjusted our usual program to reflect the recent period(s) of remote and flexible delivery. Pearcedale Primary School will therefore provide a simplified written report for the parent/carer of each student enrolled at the school for Semester 2, 2020 focusing on what progress has been made and what has been achieved by each child. Reports will include: -a description of the areas taught -a comment on student participation and engagement -progress shown from the last time these curriculum areas were reported on Thank you for your continued support during remote and flexible learning and the transition between remote and flexible learning and onsite learning.

03.01.2022 There has been lots of enthusiasm and excitment in the music room this week! Many students came to our sessions that were keen to learn an instrument and join our school band. They came to explore the instruments that they are thinking about learning next year and many really enjoyed some instruments that they had not heard of before. Sadly due to Covid they couldn't blow into any of the brass and woodwind but there were lots of students interested in taking up those traditional band instruments in particular. Don't forget to get those forms in ASAP to the office, forms can be found at the office or on Compass. If you have any concerns please email Kerri Rowe on [email protected] You might just have a musician sitting there right beside you!
